Bench press

>bench press
>never get chest DOMS

>weighted dips
>always get chest DOMS

benchfags will defend this

DOMS doesn’t mean you are making progress fag. Do bench with a spotter spotter. After you fail get the spotter to lift the weight back up and go down controlled on the negative and repeat as many times as you can. You will have crippling chest doms the next day but it won’t mean shit

Do bench once a week with a ton of volume. Youll be sore af next day but make progress literally half as fast but at least you feel your precious DOMS( which doesnt mean shit in terms of muscle growth)

>thinking doms means anything
>baby's first day at the gym

enjoy your fucked shoulders due to how much strain weighted dips puts on them. Look up the anatomy of a shoulder and tell me if the ligaments/tendons should be going in the same range of motion your legs do during squats

your dip form must be total keklol m80

Dips is the redpilled movement

Meanwhile stan efferding did dips as replacement for bench when he had shoulder injury

You stop getting DOMS after you've worked a muscle for a while. Your body basically gets accustomed to the stress it's put through. Desperately chasing DOMS is kind of a bodybuilder meme, which is why they do high volume and supersets.

I don't do dips because i'm not retarded and can think of much safer exercises to load my shoulders with

>well because some IFBB pro did it, must make it a good thing to do!

Why don't you just do decline bench if your dip sucks that much.

"no"

not getting DOMS doesn't necessarily mean you haven't made progress, but getting DOMS necessarily means you have made progress.

Here's a crazy idea Jow Forums, why not do both faggots

probably time constraints

>just get a spot and go to failure bro lmao

t. shit bench

>Do bench once a week

t. really shit bench

>enjoy your fucked shoulders

t. ignorant, weak wuss with shit shoulders

>You stop getting DOMS after you've worked a muscle for a while

t. shit lifts, shit body

never forget:

Do weighted dips one day and bench the other or does OP do some meme bro split and train chest every 7 days?

DOMS actually does stop though once you start training consistently. Squats no longer give me ass and leg DOMS

Try do 5x10 or 10x10 and see if you still don't get DOMS :- )))))

high volume is a meme

DOMS shouldnt occur 10 days after consistent training if you get your 8h of sleep and eat enough.

My point wasn’t about going to failure but putting a ton of stress on the eccentric portion of the lift which is how you get DOMS dumbo

I'm stuck at 2pl8x4
give me tips

Deload
Eat more

Just pause them at the bottom

I will try that next time I go to the gym

who the fuck told you to flare your elbows out during dips anyway retard? they're supposed to be pulled in so your upper arms brush lightly against the your lats.

Can you only progress on a bulk?
How do you ever get a good lift for a specific weight group?

You can get better at a lift while cutting or maintaining, but it's a bitch to add significant muscle without gaining some weight (unless you're fat). And the bench press, more than most lifts, is bodyweight-dependent.

You move up and down. Weight class athletes will bulk and cut over time with the end goal being the same bodyweight at a better body composition. If you do it right, you might add 30-40lbs to a lift (assuming someone already decently strong, not a beginner) as your weight rises over a training cycle and be able to hang onto damn near all of it as you lean back down.

>he just does one chest exercise, instead of all of them
stay small fag

>wake up
>chest pains

DYEL faggot?

I have those sandals I gotta try this

its got nothing to do with flaring your elbows out, the movement itself pushes the head of your humerus forward and puts it in a compromised position, i dont care if you don't believe me but you're essentially relying on tendons and ligaments to hold your shoulder in place which is very dangeous. but by all means keep doing weighted dips

>just get a spotter and shit up his day by rowing your bench up bro

only retards dosent feel their chest when bench pressing

Even mark said dips are the superior movement

>only retards dosent
