>4700mg of saltless potassium max
Mix these in a liter of water and sip it throughout the day. The apple cider vinegar and lemon are optional.
You can also do this if you feel lightheaded, weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc., on shorter water fasts. Don’t do this while intermittent fasting.

No. It only occurs at extremely low body fat (8-10%).

Yes.

>Can I drink coffee, tea, and diet soda? Or anything with artificial sweeteners?
Artificial sweeteners and diet soda are bad for you and may fuck up your fast. Zero calorie black coffee and tea are generally considered to be fine.

Not unless you’re fasting for a month or longer.

way longer. and i can understand now why. i am not even that thirsty. i am actually more hungry then thirsty(though i crave CRAAAVE watery foods like pears, prumes, melons cucumbers)
like i still piss kinda normally. and since i was clean it didnt even burn. my fat was just broken down for the 40% water contend they have.
I am just really fatigued but not that much more thirsty then i was on day 1.

I would normally pound some carb free sipps, but I don't want to spike my insulin and start catabolizing muscle.

Guess I'll just take today off from the gym, rest up for my usual heavy Thursday workout, and then break my fast. I'm amazed at how much training I've been able to do in a fasted state.

Tomorrow, aftern I hit the gym, it'll be a week since my last "meal". It consisted of krill oil and a protein shake. I'll probably break my fast the same way.

I hate that's I can't tell anyone I've gone a week without eating.

1/2 cm shorter but i had to use a highly inaccurate measure method since i am alone and my tape measure didnt extend past 150cm. so i dont think you will have to worry about it.

okay so what i will do is drink the glass that contains 1 teaspoon of baking soda and probably a glas from the other container which is the old concentrated snakejuice, then i will hit up the shower and probably drink from it a little.
after that i will probably get some more snakejuice and baking soda and then i will start chewing on some lemon juice icecubes i made. or grind them down and eat them. after that i might go for some AVC or just get my cold brew green tea.

Nothing insane, just an alternate day fasting, but with really intense running

You people usually recommend moderate exercise for longer fasts, to avoid losing muscle and feeling extra shit
But what about only alternare day fasting?

i would recommend slow cardio if you are going for fat loss.
HIIT is for when your not fasted and want to decrease your heart rate and increase your muscle power

How the fuck do you tards hard dry fast? I can understand not showering and washing hands but is the whole "don't sprinkle on your leg when you piss" and avoid ALL water contact no matter how minimal thing just a meme? Have been swimming and dieting to lose weight consistently since February, will intermittent fasting on a 3 hour feeding window help with weight loss. I see so much conflicting evidence about it having no effect since CICO just rules it out. Don't know whether to trust (((their))) articles or Jow Forumsizens anecdotal advice?

Snakeman says to do your first 48 hour fast using about a liter of the snake juice a day but also a liter of regular water. I can drink more regular water right? I talk to people all day for work and my mouth gets dry.

that's with the old recipe, it was so loaded with salt and potassium that it basically needed to be cut with pure water. the new one is much milder and it's all you need. also for a 48 hour fast you may not even need it.

Your question is a bit confusing. You're asking if 21:3 IF is better than eating all day but cutting calories? You will definitely lose more weight on IF.

But I *can* drink more regular water than a liter without ruining anything, correct.

Yep, it's all about how you're feeling. Just be aware that the more water you drink the more electrolytes you flush out, leading to an increased need to replenish them.

Yes, it works. It's very easy to test yourself, do it for a week and you'll see. I'm , on all the days I wasn't water fasting I was doing 16:8 IF.

Day 4 of water fast completed. So far this evening has been the hardest. Massive food cravings and hunger waves. Was very tired for some reason, but coffee helped with that. Still shitting water on a regular basis.

Question: is it ok if ketosticks dont go all the way up. It says “large” but not the top one.

You will lose more on 21:3 than spreading the calories throughout the day because the trigger to burn your fat is low insulin. On IF it will be low most of the time, eating over the day will continuously spike it back up into feeding mode making weight loss much slower.

als my lemon juice was very doable. i had made my own lemon juice from lemons and froze it. what i did now was put it in a mixer so it turned to powder. that powder was pretty good. i cant fucking wait to do this with orange juice. thats probably gonna be a mainstay desert from now on. it has a great texture.

I did something similar this morning, before breaking my fast I drank baking soda, ACV, and lemon juice then waited about an hour. I could feel all sorts of squishy activity happening in my gut.

I have a lot of trouble making it past 48 hr wet due to being light headed. Any advice? Maybe I should do the pink salt. Never heard of this before checking out this thread.

Feeling lightheaded, fatigue, weak, etc. are signs of low electrolytes. Use the new snakejuice recipe (sodium, potassium, baking soda, and magnesium) and you'll feel right as rain.

Depends which hormones you mean. IGF-1 starts climbing immediately, ~300% in 5 days. Sex hormones drop during a fast. Ghrelin waves (hunger hormone) grow on days 1 and 2 then plummet starting on day 3. Adrenaline and cortisol are slightly higher than baseline during a fast.

90% of all tap water on earth is shit but if you live in a decently sized city like Milwaukee and get your water from a body of water then you're literally fine using tap. I wouldn't drink the water from the well in the cottage up north Wisconsin.

Your baseline RMB (resting metabolic rate) actually increases during fasting.

The general meme is that a 72 hour fast "resets" your immune system, but of course nothing is ever that simple. Autophagy continuously increases for the first 4-5 days, and this is what will destroy your senescent and dysfunctional cells (immune and otherwise). If autophagy is your goal, and it sounds like it is, shoot to hit at least day 5.

If you're doing short fasts (up to 48 hours) don't worry about it. Beyond that just start small. I broke a 5 day fast last night, had about 100 calories then waited an hour, then about 200 then waited another hour, then had about 500. Think of it like food foreplay.

Anyone know of an accurate scale? As much as I'd like to believe I lost 7.5lb in one night I don't think fasting is that powerful. Especially since it was a feeding day.

sip some water first, then a few min later drink the whole glass, wait a bit, drink another glass. 30 min later mix half water half orange juice to dilute. then wait a bit and drink just straight orange juice. Move on to a banana after and let your stomach wake up and start digesting before you move on from that. I'd stay away from foods like dairy and meat for a few days. This is how I do it and i've rarely had a problem. I might be more cautious than some people but i've heard horror stories of people eating meat right after a dry fast and being in excruciating pain.

Just dont wash your hands or obviously shower. It's ok if you get a bit of water on your skin though it wont affect your dry fast.

I started with a little soft fruit, then had some eggs.

baking soda dissolves kidney stones and dryfasting will help you get rid of them. THOUGH if you already have kidney stones you should not dryfast because you will start expunging all of them at once and it might fuck you up. but if you have no troubles now you will probably just experience slightly burning piss on your first few dryfasts. when your on a long dryfast and your piss just feels like normal piss, you know your kidneys are completely clean.

a waterfast with the new snakejuice might help since it uses baking soda.
apparently apple cider vinegar and lemon juice helps clean kidneys too, but i am not knowledgeable on what they do exactly.

if your fast adapted and been trought multiple ones you can eat pretty dirty to break. you will just have sulphur burbs the next day.
