I dunno why there isn't more influence from American pop, but Uganda is one of the few countries without a McDonald's, so maybe there's a sort of resistance to western stuff borne from the uncomfortable relationship that they have with the colonial era. Or maybe it's because the country is really fucked up and only total madmen would do business there.
