subreddits are good for user research, certain niche interest communities (not to interact with users), porn, and troubleshooting shit like mentioned. A somewhat useful alternative to stack overflow

not that user, but you seem to have the wrong idea about what qualities characterize robots. That and 50k is nowhere near 'a lot of money', and stocks at that level are in no way a stable or liveable income.

I have certain interests that Jow Forums never fucking discusses. Not that I post to Reddit, I just lurk. Example, i watched a documentary on Netflix and wanted to read what others opinions were. I could go to /tv/ and search for it but it's never discussed and the docu has an active subreddit where the posts don't turn into shitposting.

Also if I ever have a question I just add it Reddit to the end of my google enquiry. 9 times out 10 someone on Reddit has posted the same question, the answers are always better than some random Yahoo answers post or shitty YouTube video.

It's good for specific discussion about some interests that have nonexistent or dead generals.
Plus old posts don't 404 so you can look at old stuff.

I mod a sub and I also will go there for news or to see how the normies are talking these days
