it reduces the quality of the working sets if done at the working weight and it takes up more equipment than neccesary.

if you have the equipment for it there's no reason not to superset your warmup for the next excercise.

Argument for cutting would to let yourself rest so you can hit close to 90% of your 1rm and retain muscle. Going for lower weight tends to lead to muscle loss so far as I've noticed for myself. Supersetting or tri-setting is fantastic for bulking though. And maximal work is in my opinion better for cutting.

Because youre not lifting as heavy as you can if youre not resting between sets. Adequate rests are important for making strength gains.

If you are going to 90% 1RM it's not a great idea, but if you are workingat maximum 85% on your main lift at the time then superset some dumbbells, calisthenics or some band/rope work in there. More work done in less time and it will build your work capacity.
I recommend searching 5/3/1 krypteia and watching the videos on youtube on jim wendler and the failing high school football team (they run that program basically.)
