Like the other guy said, post-hardcore actually has a lot of great bands, but Ronnie Radke and whatever band he was/is in are garbage that you'll look back on and laugh at yourself for liking in a few years, which isn't to say you should feel bad about liking it now because most people that have good taste had to go through a shitty "outsider" phase to open their minds up. And there's a lot of metal that isn't about just tossing around needlessly complex sounds, a lot of doom metal is just Black Sabbath worship and most black metal doesn't try and get too technical (though there are bands that do if you're into that). There's good metalcore out there if you look too, Converge being the most well-known example.
