Why is it hard to build muscle?

there are 3500 calories in 1 lb of human fat.

there are 2500 calories in 1 lb of human muscle.

so why is it so difficult to build muscle? shouldn't everyone, even fatties and grandmas, be jacked?

what is the bodily function that impedes this?

>so why is it so difficult to build muscle?
because it requires hard work and people are lazy.

MPS in naturals is dogshit

This is a cow genetically engineered to not produce the protein myostatin. Because of this, its body endlessly increases its muscle mass even if it doesn't move it all.

My question is, why did evolution not produce this? isn't this cow more fit than a normal cow?

Dont these cows have a host of health issues?

Some animals like bears are naturally jacked, but consider the upkeep of such high muscle mass.

In the grand scheme of things humans really haven’t been around that long. Our bodies evolution is still geared toward storing as much energy as possible and has not adjusted to our modern times. There’s a chance in the next 50,000-100,000 years that humans will evolve pass storing fat for energy as it will no longer be a necessity.

That’s if we avoid another extinction level event (unlikely)

Yes but all of that muscle wastes a lot of energy doing nothing. In a survival situation with limited food this kinda shit will kill you pretty fast because you will starve.

myostatin

While it does look aesthetic, I think I heard that the muscle is less functional, as in it produces less power. Therefore it would only inhibit your mobility while providing no useful benefits.

imma guess it's because muscles are a large energy drain and having more than necessary is a negative for survival.

Fat is a store of energy so it actually functions well for survival - obviously not the fat levels we see today

humans are not builtt for brute strength we are long distance runners

Because
>be early man
>have fat
>be hungry no food
>body eat fat because fat good energy
yes

>My question is, why did evolution not produce this? isn't this cow more fit than a normal cow?

because evolution isnt about optimal solution, it just has to "work"

You got some basic logic wrong. If everybody would be easily to build twice as much muscle as is the case in real life now, then that would be the standard and body builders would have the task of being much stronger than that. So it's always hard.
If all people were half as clever as they are, then the smartest academics would still on average be stupider than a normal person now, but that doesn't make it easy (for people in this world) to climb that top.
Similarly, a beautiful female face isn't inherently beautiful, because what's very beautiful (or muscular, or smart) is relative and tied to averages and expectation.

As for the numbers, being overly muscular is just not something that was very helpful. Having far storages to the extent that we have was helpful.

holy fuck, is it possible to naturally decrease your myostatin levels?

>There’s a chance in the next 50,000-100,000 years that humans will evolve pass storing fat
I doubt there will be anyone willing to still use human bodies by then. Maybe a small group of primitivists, that's all

it doesn't endlessly produce muscle. there are cells within muscles that are kept in "reserve" so to speak, that step up and add to muscle mass if muscles become injured. myostatin is produced to keep the body from wasting all these cells when it doesnt need it. as animals like this get older, it becomes more difficult for their muscles to recover from injury.

second, having all that extra mass is not ideal for survival. it requires more work from the heart, more food, and more energy to expend. evolution is more of a balancing act, not a system that perfects anything. producing absurd amounts of muscle provides very little benefit in relation to what evolution is geared toward: survival. too much muscle gets in the way of that.

lastly, our sexual selectors will always think "why aren't we taller/stronger/more muscular/have bigger tits and dicks?"

that doesn't mean anything. it's just what our brains were wired to be attracted to, because they provided us advantages WITHIN our packs and peers. being too tall makes you prone to injury (and in the wild, a broken ankle could easily mean death). too large of a penis can't fit into a vagina, too large of breasts weigh down a woman trying to run from a lion or some shit. too much muscle reduces endurance and adds weight, making it harder to long distance walk/run or climb trees, important aspects of our survival.

there was a study where they attached artificial, gigantic peacock tail feathers to a piece of wood. feathers twice as big as any normal male peacock. the females were all over this piece of wood, and ignored the actual males. Sexual selectors can actually inhibit survival and reproduction, if taken to the extreme we think are ideals.

Its easy to BUILD muscle. It just requires effort. Look at this generation. Look at my wife. Instant gratification. Wife wants a huge ass I tell her she'll see results in 6 months.
>That'll take too long I don't have time for it

Everyone wants to be jacked. Very few want to put in the effort.
>Losing weight is easy just do keto

raw cocoa supplementation. the liver's metabolisation of it causes a slight decrease in testosterone though (5-10%), likely worth it though

>He thinks evolution produces perfect beings instead of the best baby makers for a given set of limited resources

because fat is a much more efficient way of storing energy
