I go with my brother-in-law. Not sure if that counts. I also see some of my former school mates but don't work out with them.

I'm about to convince my fat roomie.
I'm completely oblivious to what kind of dynamic we're supposed to have.

I don't have any friends. I haven't had a friend in, I'd say about 7-8 years.

i go with my housemates and occasionally their gfs
Only one of my housemates actually takes lifting seriously, the rest (particularly the girls) are fucking annoying at the gym

The last time I went to the gym with a friend it was terrible. He wanted to do curls and machines so I ended up doing compound lifts on my own. Then he complimented my chest in the locker room before walking home to shower like a neckbeard.

Never again. It's better to make friends at the gym instead of bringing outside friends in.

What's going on in this pic?

I don't have any.

My friends care more about getting baked everyday than general fitness. Almost called my friend a faggot when he said he had a rough leg day of doing 80 on leg press and 30 minutes of cardio.

I would if I had any.

I just shoot the shit with the dudes that go at the same time as me, Tom, Single Mom Hippie, Jervaughn, etc

no i hate it. prefer lifting alone

Nope.
Gym is a solitude activity for me, I hate interacting with anyone whatsoever during my routine. I'm there to workout, not to talk or gossip about bs.

You sound like a good friend

No I'm not a fag

go with gf to the gym and talk with guys at gym
"whats up man"
"what up? what you hitting?"
"back, you?"
"same back and bi's"
"nice"

Dude, you're not performing heart surgery on a baby where you'd actually need intense concentration. All you need to do is breathe in and out, and count how many reps you're doing, then add a social interaction component inbetween sets to train that single-tasking social-let brain of yours.

Not OP but the gym is an escape for a lot of us. In that short moment of our existence it's nothing but you, your music, and the weight you're about to lift. It's a simplistic kind of bliss that's free of other outside factors.

I've started taking my little brother, not sure if this was a good idea. He always wants to work out 20-30 minutes shorter than I, and this forces me to cut out various exercises that I would have otherwise done. I still feel uncomfortable doing bench press without a spotter though, so I prefer having someone around.

If I wanted to be alone when lifting, I would've bought more homegym equipment and be a shut-in. Going to a gym means there will be people there so you'll have to deal with that external factor whether you like to or not.
