Hi Jow Forums

hi Jow Forums

im an user with a dream, im gonna be the first incel to make it on the billboard charts

my crippling autism coupled with being mister NEET means im huddled in my room away from the world 22 hours a day (except when i go on /nightwalks). each day i practice guitar for 9 hours, my fingers are so calloused that shitposting is effortless because ive lost all sensation in them

i write songs, i have an ear for catchy melodies. im well versed in jazz and pop, i figure if i can combine those two i can pull off something special. sometimes ill get really drunk to get rid of the nerves i get in front of girls, and go to an open mic and get clapped at

im an user with a dream and you guys are gonna watch me get big

i cant play right now my family is asleep, but u will find me from time to time on those Jow Forums talent threads where ppl share what they r ok at

theres a lot of skilled people on bg and i look up 2 every one of them

Where are you located OP?

I want to join your band.

>i have a good ear for things
>but i won't post them lol

fuck off.

Attached: 1529249799092.jpg (750x850, 257K)

bless you user, but make sure we know youre r9k from your music or interviews so we can relate. thank you so much for taking the time for us and we wish you success!

im in toronto, lots of soundcloud rappers here but im trying to stand out with an actual instrument

youre right, that does come off a bit suspect. i havent got any material recorded or anything
either but you can count on me to be r9k's first star

i'll wear a pepe pin on my guitar strat just for u user, you'll know its me :)

Attached: 1495161480009.jpg (480x480, 23K)

Will you hire me or take me with you when you tour? I have nothing to do. I can pay for my own stuff. I just want somewhere to go. [email protected] make sure to use underscore

i do imaginary rolling stone interviews when i daydream, maybe i'll plug in words like "normies" and "kek" into my vocabulary

i'll keep that email saved in my notepad for life, i dont know if or when i'm gonna make it big but this dream is real and im gonna make sure we all go together

actually, it just got to me that i have a few shitty streamables uploaded from yesteryear that you could listen to

streamable.com/vcbly
streamable.com/yei2w
streamable.com/cznwl

most of it is jazz oriented but i have some skill in the math rock, if i can blend those 2 and write about my feelings of loneliness i feel i can relate to a good portion of this depressed youth

Attached: 1516137055289.jpg (680x383, 27K)

also i noticed that the kids my age like trap music alot, so if i do jazzy chord melodies with a trap foundation i feel like i can get one of those chill beat /rainyday/ vibes

im trying to tap into that feeling after you cry where everything is warm and fuzzy, but i dont want anyone to cry to get it, i want people to just listen and share the music

wow user! you play great. but have you thought about how your lyrics will be percieved by the normie? you and i might find the lyrics great and relatable, but the normie will just brush it off as weird.

remember, the key to actual recognition is people being able to relate to you.

the l o f i hiphop beat trend will die out soon enough, focus on developing your own sound and making for example, your guitar playing sound unique

thanks desu, that is true. i do spose i have to find a common denominator between normies and robots, something that we can all relate to

that is a harsh reality of any type of music and u are very correct, sometimes i consider taking breaks from casual music listening to focus on what my inner robot really sounds like without exterior influences

Modern day Hendrix. You good man. How old would you be? Im a 26 year old NEET myself and been delving into the EDM scene but i feel kinda old for it. Kinda turning me off from continuing to be frank.

What watch are you wearing in the second link? Its /fa and i want to cop one

aw thanks for that user, im 19 going on 20. youre never too old to into music, for real! pardon the example, but you have guys like Dave Matthews who got big in their 30s, and now he crushes the billboard charts with every release he does, and is worth $300,000,000. remember, audiences age with you and there will always be someone to listen :)

Or in first link. Is it cassio?

You play great OP! I've always dreamed of being an artist as well. How did you start playing guitar, and for how long?

Thank you for the words of encouragement. Im also stand out from a lot of EDM artists and am learning piano notes and theory on side too as feel it will help in long run.

its a casio f91-w, its a very nice watch and its been through everything, including my sweaty arms, the shower, and its survived a shit ton of accidental laundry washings

also i've had it for 4 years ish and the battery is still on full. 9/10 watch, its a little small but perfect for a /wristcel/ like me. would recommend

Attached: F91W-1_large.png (500x529, 70K)

i started when i was 12, but it was on and off and i hardly played through the first few years of highschool. i started getting serious around 17 and pretty much became a full time shut-in guitar aspie when my oneitis rejected me

i'd say three quarters of me plays guitar because i love it, and one quarter of me plays in hopes that i could become famous and show her im worth something

theory will help you so much! people always fall back on that "hurr durr jimi hendrix didn't know theory" but the fact of the matter is he did. theory is just another way of communicating ideas, and no matter what terminology he used for it, jimi definitely had a system of relations in place to help him navigate the fretboard

Attached: 1516125018368.png (796x588, 96K)

Yeah no way Hendrix didnt know theory. Dude cant be that skilled without it. He knew music like the back of his hand

yeah, i find it even insulting and lazy when people say hendrix didnt know theory. that would be like calling charles dickens illiterate, or saying that gordon ramsay didnt know how to use an oven

You are worth it man, hope she'll figure that out when you're big. You're talented, I believe in you! :)

thanks user, its people like you that place hope in my heart and keep the dream alive. i'll remember u guys

user girls have not given a FUCK about people who play guitar for a long time.

I play too but I'm aware that it's peak boomer shit to do.

Attached: 5B6E6C58-97AE-4912-94E1-CD9C83B787A1.jpg (380x349, 45K)

Your technical skill is very good, but you may be lacking mass appeal as of now

Attached: 1527358835002.png (447x378, 11K)

this is true to an extent, as long as you have a decent songwriting skill or an ability to play something relatable, the guitar will assist in poon (john mayer, mac demarco, rex orange county; 2/3rds of that list are not boomers).

this is true, i have a bit of time to shape my sound towards something more appealing. i feel that i have a good foundation to branch out with, though only time will tell if my endeavors are fruitful

>girls have not given a FUCK about people who play guitar for a long time
>implying I didn't fall in love with OP a little after listening to that second video
heck off

Attached: 1517530194745.jpg (514x536, 56K)

thanks :) im glad some people are here to keep the love of the instrument alive

Attached: 1516125953902.jpg (720x644, 56K)

>tfw no skilled bf who will play the guitar for you as you fall asleep
it's not fair

Attached: 1518422854133.png (623x356, 78K)

theres somewhere out there for everyone! true love will find u in the end

Attached: 1_0998c7_6308761.jpg (640x610, 62K)

is it worth getting a nice gitar to practice on? I've been playing the same piece of shit I got in 4th grade and I really just riff around and shit, I have no knowledge of theory or anything, but I have really good dexterity and I can play a lot of difficult stuff. but yeah it still sounds ike shit with all the buzzing and shit and no, its not from my technique its form the shitty warped neck that I can't adjust and the bridge saddle which is nig rigged at this point with a bunch of different parts. also where would I start learning theory? I want to distract myself with music and just go full autist with it

I respect you and hope that one day our paths cross and we create something special

Keep on playing dude, at the rate you are going you could be debuting in a year or two.
Also have you chosen an artist Name yet? I want to buy your CDs once you start publishing

stop being so frustratingly nice and cool! also, what songs were you playing in those vids? I must knoww

Attached: 1518146793324.jpg (507x334, 32K)

>streamable.com/cznwl
is this oc? it sounds wicked familiar. also do you have a soundcloud where I can listen to this song if it is oc? I really like it

honestly, the quality of guitar production has gotten so good in the past ten years that a squier bullet strat or an epiphone will do. if you have extra $$$ id recommend getting a used mexican stratocaster, but honestly going over $500-600 is unnecessary unless you've got the cash. right now my favorite guitar is a $100 squier mini strat

what guitar do you have now? you could get it checked out by a music store and they might be able to set it up correctly. they might be able to fix the bridge up for you

as far as theory goes, just learn intervals and start developing your ear to the point where you can identify thirds, fourths, fifths and other scale degrees by ear. also learn diatonic harmony and how chords pertain to keys (i.e; the notes in a C major scale can be used to build a C major chord, D minor, E minor, F major, G major, A minor, B diminished, etc). after you get the groundwork, it all starts to fall into place naturally

I want to know too! Or at least tell us something that will allow us to know it's you once you start releasing music. Like idk a pin, or a particular jacket or something.

good luck user, and don't forget us when you make it big

youtu.be/SVi3-PrQ0pY

whats better to practice on a strat or an acoustic? also mine is a crestwood, some kind of weird uncanny strat ripoff, and I don't really want to bring it to a shop because it has a lot of sentimental value and I don't want normies touching it and shit.

i'll be posting regularly as i progress, you guys are pretty much the only people i talk to

the first is a cover of an emo rock riff i found on youtube, the second is an original and the third is an arrangement of "pure imagination" from charlie and the chocolate factory with a shitty trap beat i cooked up in fruity loops

as far as an artist name goes, i havent figured that out yet... maybe itll have an r9k reference in it that you guys can pick up on. also buying cds in 2018? sainthood like that allows musicians to keep going and i love you for that

its a arrangement i did of "pure imagination" from charlie and the chocolate factory, with a trap beat i made in fruityloops. i may record it in HD later and i'll post it here in the future

i think practicing on a strat would be good if you have little nubile fingers because the action tends to be low enough to navigate easily. however, if you start on an acoustic, you can get wicked finger gainz and going back to a strat will feel so much easier. i started on a classical which was easier cos of the nylon strings, but also hard because the fretboard was absolutely massive

i encourage you to make it, OP. whats your name gonna be when you make it big

good ear, user! charlie and the chocolate factory was my safety place as a child and the music from it always calmed me down

a lot of people asking about my name, hmmm. i was thinking about using my actual name, but for the sake of anonymity here i cant give it out.

how bout this, if you do see a really long polish last name (4 syllables) on the charts, i probably made it and i have u guys to thank for it

I play all the time and I work construction, so my fingers are calloused, should I just get an acoustic? I have one now, but its a piece of shit too, and I would want something that sounds decent

I swear, you better not be (((polish)))

I'll keep an eye on it, make us proud!

yea defs go for the acoustic if you have a lot of callouses formed already. i like the sigma acoustics because theyre really close to Martins at like 1/10th the price, but stuff like Simon and Patrick guitars are good too

what kind of music do u play?

>incel
>polak

are u suprised

Attached: you.jpg (231x234, 16K)

its can i add u on discord? it would be really fun to bounce ideas back and forth i think.
i really want to advance on my songwriting and piano playing since i'm going into /mu/ uni after summer;p

>the second is an original
really? holy crap it's really good. good luck on your journey to become famous user, and you can sleep tonight knowing that you made a lesbot question her sexuality with your amazing guitar skills and patrician music taste

Attached: 1528821776476.png (660x693, 362K)

i havent got a discord, sry user

also youre going to music school? thats really cool, where at? i visited berklee once on a trip to boston, great place with even greater teachers

It's one of my favorite movies too. Keep on being awesome OP.

Sounds good, user. How will we know it's you?

i live in northern sweden:) we have alot of talent from my city,
i'm hoping that i'll be able to reach the amount of success that
the other great artists from here have desu

aw, thanks for that :) you're really kind

you too user

you'll do just fine! remember to jam with as many people as possible and to learn from them as much as you can teach them!

youtube.com/watch?v=fGoSAJeVwg8

I am actually looking to get into the guitar. I have plenty of time and want to actually develop a talent. What is the best starter guitar without dropping LODS E MONI? I want something wooden and acoustic. I plan on playing nearly all slower chill bonfire songs like "Spira unplugged". From my research it seems nylong strings make for a better mellow pitch?

Give me your knowledge virginanon. I trust the word and experience of an autistic guitar savant over the local store anyday.

W O A H !
user!
You son of a gun!
Go for it!

Attached: 1528479524219.png (658x706, 672K)

No one becomes famous for talent anymore infact they try keep people with talent put because it makes all the others sound even worse than they already do

Post some music in my Jow Forums radio station thread and I'll add it to the playlist

That is why you keep pushing it forward user.
If you say things like
>No one becomes famous for talent anymore infact they try keep people with talent put because it makes all the others sound even worse than they already do
You are just helping the people without talent win.
This dude will make it!

don't stomp his dream yo. a dream is all an autist has

I really hope he succeeds without having to blow men

i mentioned earlier that the quality of guitar production has improved so greatly over the past 10 years, that beginner models are passable for even pros to play

the best starter ELECTRIC guitar hands down would be a Squier bullet strat, u could get one used for $100. now acoustics are a different story, i find that the lower-end yamahas are good so you should definetely check those out and be ready to spend $200-300 :( either that, or check out Simon and Patrick Guitars, excellent woody tones for around the same price point.

nylon strings are used in classical guitars and you can hear it in my third link (streamable.com/cznwl), they're essentially plastic that wont slice your fingers or have any sort of a metallic slicing tone that you get with steel strings.

i personally like nylon string sound better, much warmer and imho comfier :)

thank you! i try my best!

do you make these threads often? i'll come by when i have some original stuff recorded!

i will try!

thank you user, i have to prove myself!

thank you, this is all i have left in my NEET life

i hope so too!

Youre so fucking positive user its weird desu im guessing youre on amphetamines right now

this thread is the most validation ive ever received in my entire life and i feel like i can actually do something right for once

a life in music is all i ever wanted

*blocks your path(to success)*

Attached: 1516610718890.jpg (317x293, 49K)

That sounds very fucking comfy my autistic friend. Exactly what I am looking for if maybe just a half moment slower. I'll snoop around for some yamahas. What is the best jumping off point for an absolute beginner? Do you recommend a specific course or teacher or practice?

But it seems many young talent are required to blow men

Nah youre on some kinda potent narcotic i can tell

yeah jewish men

That would be sweet, I started making these 5 nights ago and i'm aving fun doing it, it's a 24/7 stream of robot approved and/or created tunes and i'd love to have your stuff on there!
Comfyradio.blogspot.com

anyways, i have to go to sleep guys. i have a big day tomorrow cos some soundcloud rapper asked if i could play in his live show and i told him i would do it. lets hope i dont sperg out and ruin this chance for myself

thank you everybody for your kind words! i will always remember u guys

as momrock as it sounds, learning some dave matthews band riffs (like Satellite or Crash into Me) will improve your acoustic playing so much

Or youre 15 and havent realized reality yet

i agree that stardom is hard to achieve and not everyone can do it, but two things anybody can do is be optimistic and try

Imagine being so bitter that you forget that genuine happiness exists

YouTube seems like an obvious and realistic option and if talented one could become very famous

Good luck. I hope you play well and get some recognition that helps you take off. That video is so godamn chill. If you just did a tiny edit at the end you could loop it forever and not notice the song ever ended.

Attached: 5463456.png (618x412, 445K)

Happiness is something children and women experience loife is suffering

best of luck!! I'm happy that I got to talk to you for a bit

You listen to Sleepy Dog too? Nice man

I live in toronto too, didn't know there were other cool niggas here

Well my dream is to be accepted into the looks and lms livestream

Your skill is an inspiration for me to work on my playing.

Attached: 1485902681955.png (645x773, 5K)

a real inspiration, user
i wish i had the motivation you have, i believe in U :)

He doesnt have motivation hes probably on amphetamines

That first clip is sleepy dog related, one of his random ass math rock riff videos. Good job man.

Yeah this user is actually a chad trying to impress us with above average guitar playing... I'm not buying it for a second, there's no way you could be a robot with guitar playing like that, just get drunk and play and you'll have women all over you.

i hope you'll achieve your dreams
i believe in you!

I tried to learn an instrument it was too boring

You've got skill user
A thousand robots are behind you, achieve your dreams

i too spend all day playing guitar. i have been making music since 2010, i have countless bands/projects, I have released albums on underground labels with physical copies...

i've at most ever made a few dollars from bandcamp here and there..

the only difference is I make black metal. I cannot degrade myself to make anything that isn't my passion for raw black metal. I barely ever get recognized

I'm lucky to get one comment of feedback per album.

Good luck being a normalfag OP, i could not do it myself. You are obviously much more skilled than me at guitar due to you wanting to play normalfag tech music. I just play raw black metal, so I will never get anywhere with any of it. Even after 8 years.

Attached: b side or other tape design - Copy.png (1270x471, 796K)

Hey user, first of all wow, your easily the best talent I've seen on this site and of all the so called "you tube guitarists." Could you describe your practice routine?

hi user, i got to this thread kinda late unfortunately but you're really good. id love for you to make a youtube channel so we can watch you become famous and hear more of your music
