You can't.

Full rack with high/low cables - $400
600lb weights with barbell - $600
Ironmaster DBs 5lbs-150lbs - $500
Incline/Decline bench with leg attachment - $300
Mats, cable attachments, bands, belts, wraps, etc - $200

Get some decent resistance bands

I can get a power rack from Walmart for 160, bench for 50, and 300lb weight set from Sears for 200. This is enough to get started.

>good home gym
A public park and some rebar with tires is enough to get started

amazon.com/Valor-Fitness-BD-2-Independent-Stands/dp/B00JQKSPHK
160$

shitty rack - will probably be okay if you don't lift super heavy (you problaby wont ever in your life anyway) but make sure you dont tip them over and kill yourself

amazon.com/CAP-Barbell-Threaded-Standard-250-Pound/dp/B000RNY7XG/
40$ - maybe look for a better one then this - but should be threaded collar

Much cheaper then a real olympic bar - Okay if you are not going to lift super heavy and don't do olympic lifts. HOWEVER if you ever plan to move up to a real oympic bar, non of your weights will fit this since all your weights will have too small holes and you have to rebuy them all.

Throw in some dumbell set, that way you have dumbells + all the small plates you need for progressing:

amazon.com/105-Adjustable-Cast-Iron-Dumbbells/dp/B009GC76NW
100$

However I didn't bother to check the diameter make sure the diameter of barbell and dumbell are the same and are the standard "small" ones. Sometimes the cheapo companies try to make even smaller bars to save material - but then you get issues that nothing fits together and that sucks.

Simple bench 60$:
amazon.com/dp/B076X3HVB2
Pray that it doesnt collapse under you - i hope you are not obese lol

Spent rest of your 140$ on 20kg / 45lbs plates
Also add in a cheapo pullup bar
With this stuff you will be able to make some gains, will probalby be enough for everything you ever do. However with the small dumbell holes you cannot really upgrade to a better bar anymore.

Note: I literally just spent 5 minutes on amazon looking for the most basic stuff. You can probably find better deals and stuff with better quality fi you keep looking. There are also countless people who want to "get fit" buy shitton of expensive equipment and then never use it. So there is a lot of cheap 2nd hand barely used stuff out there, if you are lucky enogh to find it.

I have that exact power rack in your picture, it was only $250 and has been bretty gud so far

Always be checking thrift stores. I've gotten 360lbs of olypmic plates, an olympic bar, spin lock dumbbell handles + ~150lbs of standard plates for them, and an adjustable bench for $250 from them, plus another $250 for a power rack which I bought new

why not join a gym?
the atmoshpere is much more motivating

Any complaints? Worried about the pins and such. Otherwise I might pull the trigger.

cost
wait times
peer pressure (I do meme lifts like zercher bulgarian split squats and take 30 mins to do them)

Look at Craigslist for used stuff, look around for companies that sell gym equipment to colleges and high schools. They typically take old stuff on trade resell it.

>high/low cables
Not necessary
>600lb
300lb would suffice for a true beginner
>DBs
Dumbells are unnecessary for beginners, everything can be done with a barbell, db's for accessories later
>Incline/Decline bench with leg attachment
Incline not required at this stage, decline will never be required as dips are better, leg attachments are for accessories that as a beginner OP doesn't need
>Mats, cable attachments, bands, belts, wraps, etc
None of this is required at this stage

I have gym access at the uni I work at but want the home gym for convenience. It’s so much easier to step out on my back porch and lift for an hour after work than drive somewhere else that’s potentially crowded.

The only annoyance has been the lack of numbering on the holes. I ended up numbering them by hand with a sharpie so I didn't have to guess

>muh SS with

It'll be several months of lifting before OP can deadlift 300lbs.

There is nowhere that indicates OP is a beginner. That is why I answered his question "What makes a good home gym" with items that make a good home gym.

there have to be cheap gyms
i have 2 years membership with 110 EUROS

you can always lift at nights if you can when theres no people

Having a good donkey.
I have 3. A male. A female. A baby burro. A burrito if you will.
They weesnaw. Their sounds seem very sad.
They are not sad. They are happy donkeys. A family. I have had them for long time.
They are good donkeys.
Donkeys protect your home. Your livestock. They can kill anything.
But not your spirit.

>you can always lift at nights if you can when theres no people
then why wouldn't I just have a home gym where I can lift whenever I want without commute times or recurring costs with no people?

the only thing a gym offers me is a cable crossover and a leg press which i don't even include in my routine

If op lives near a Dick Sporting Goods he can get a full 300lb Olympic set for $190

m.dickssportinggoods.com/p/fitness-gear-300-lbolympic-weight-set-16fgeu300lbstwth7brb/16fgeu300lbstwth7brb

Yeah OP here, not a beginner. Passed 1234 so looking for something that has a decent capacity. I don’t squat 500lbs but I’d imagine there’s a difference between a rack rated for 500 vs 800 so we’ll see.

Nice find my man. Think I’m gonna go with that plus the rack and bench in my pic for a total of $480 before taxes.

>being this non-autistic
Gyms scare me, I can feel my test plummeting when I enter a public space and I feel smaller instantly
t. 350 bencher, 6'2", kill me

All you need is one kettlebell.

Why do you care? I'm just there to try and improve.

Been wondering the same, but for even less money. I think the beat all round answrr would be

Dumbbells
Resistance band
Jump rope

With those items combined, I'll be hard pressed to not get balanced exercise. Most expensive part would be the dbs, cause I want a set with additional plates.

Weird question but my half rack i got in my garage doesnt have any pull up attachment.

Would it be possible to do pull ups from the safety spotters if i put a barbell at the highest setting?

Yeah at one gym I was at there was no pull-up bar so we wedged a pull down bar at the top of the cable machine. If it’ll support your weight there’s no reason not to but you should very very careful not to kip at all.

That doesnt seem like nearly enough. Resistance bands are useless and dumbbells are good for only assistance/isolation exercises. Jumping rope is vastly inferior to jogging. What you need is to be able to bench and squat and run. Save up for a cage or get a gym membership.

I got a power rack, olympic power bar, bench, and plates from Craigslist for $500.

Later I added a dip station, more plates, another power bar, some random shit.

Just get a pull up bar and attach it to your wall /ceiling. You can get a nice one from rogue for 60 bucks or you can use pipe from home depot.

Here's a half rack for $180 and it holds 1,000 pounds
amazon.com/Super-Open-Rack-Gym-NYB/dp/B00U3ABXGW

even has band pegs if you're into that. But the safety arms are short (these can be upgraded).

300lb olympic weight set $190
dickssportinggoods.com/p/fitness-gear-300-lbolympic-weight-set-16fgeu300lbstwth7brb/16fgeu300lbstwth7brb

A good quality incline bench (don't cheap out on your bench)
dickssportinggoods.com/p/fitness-gear-pro-utility-weight-bench-16fgeufgprtltybncwgha/16fgeufgprtltybncwgha

or if you're gonna be cheap buy any of this used to save money. You're also gonna want some floor padding which is like $20 at walmart

then you can gradually upgrade your home gym with things like ez-curl bar, adjustable olympic dumbbell handles, etc.
