The serotonin theory of depression is wrong
Serotonin balances the dopaminergic system. They're correlative and proven effective.
After years of therapy and SSRIs that don't work the only things that help with my depression are good nutrition, exercise, meditation, and vitamin D supplements. Meditation and vitamin D broke my long depression, nutrition and exercise help keep it away.

Yes it will but don't expect immediate effects. You'll become happier and more confident when you start putting some muscle on. But that could take a while.
Look for guided mindfulness meditations to start. There are free youtube videos or apps like Insight Timer and 10% Happier which both have free selections. Mindfullness is easy to pick up and learn and very helpful. Zen practice is really nice too but more confusing for a beginner because new practitioners tend to overcomplicate Zen.
You think it will fill the hole, but it ends up being another hole to fill.
However it keeps you in motion and makes you a better you so yeah go for it.

Seems really neat, but it's also available (metabolized) from food; and L-DOPA and 5-HTP are already really great.
What's seeming more interesting is overall energy levels (combinations/ratios of B3s and other vitamins; how minimizable specific minerals are; etc.). E.g., nicotinamide seems best in small amounts; ribose is a sugar, so that's obviously up to min-maxing; and niacin seems OK and helpful in larger amounts, such as 1g. Another example is how small satisfactory doses of vitamin C are.

I can attest to this. Working out will help you sleep as well so you won't spend ages lying in bed whilst your mind races with thoughts of anxiety and depression. You will feel better about yourself and think much clearer. A good diet only helps add to the euphoria that you are doing something positive with your body.

Exactly. She talked about getting married all the time.
