>been training with a personal trainer for a month >told him i wanted to do something like oly lifting >put me on a split
Aside from that I made some progress, probably more than I made ever since I've been trying to lift. Before I would just do the same shit over and over again only trying to increase weight.
Thing is I can't fucking afford it forever, so what goals should I set before moving on and working out on my own?
-work on shoulder issue (can't isolate right pec for reasons) -learn proper form on compound exercises -reach at least 90kg squat and bench
Is this doable in 3 months? I can only bench 50kg and squat 60kg.
Go to an olympic lifting gym and asking for coaching if you want to do olympic lifts.

I'd like to but I haven't got much choice in terms of pick. There's only open gyms around here
I have some suspects he's not. Even when i'm obviously fucking up something he's not correting me

And you're paying this guy for this? Call the oly gym in your area and tell em you're a total newbie looking to get into oly lifting and they'll probably point you in the right direction.

No trainer at a big box gym is going to be willing, or even capable, of teaching you olympic lifting. You need to go to an oly gym and get an oly coach if you want to be serious about it. Your goals sound reasonable though and if you drop the trainer then get stuck a few months down the road you can always go back.
this, but also I would build up more of a strength base first, 60kg squat is low enough that it isn't worth your time yet to learn techniques and more complex lifts.
My squat was 175 when I started oly but I think anything above 100 is acceptable if you have the time and money.
Just here to also say drop the trainer. He's not your friend, you don't owe him anything. If he's not doing the job you're paying him to do, then you should find someone who can.
