Anyone else here agree with the toxic masculinity talking point? Like, most social ills come from greed and greed is caused by a desire to be high in the social hierarchy, which is a masculine trait, hence why women don't care and typically go for low paying jobs.
Greed causes environmental destruction, wars, inequality and corruption. So the worst trait a human can have is masculine in nature.
Not only that but this alpha mentality also leads to things like bullying and gang violence.
I'm not a feminist but I think it's a solid theory.
Also toxic masculinity leads to power seeking which in turn creates a cutthroat political environment in which only the most ruthless get to positions of power. In turn this assures the globe gets ruled by sociopaths who don't care for the average person.

But all of that toxic masculinity was the result of thousands upon thousands of years of evolution that selected for violent, covetous behavior that let those who best embodied such behavior got to have the most children (See: Gengis Khan)
This sort of thing has only changed very recently in terms of historical civilization. Men are very literally worth less sexually; they're basically sexual warheads that are meant to breed furiously and have developed many complex institutions, ideas, and endeavors, mainly to promote their own ability to produce children (whether this is outright said or not; many endeavors come down to a sublimation of sexual desire)
Bullying is something women do too, though; it's a social hierarchy sorting mechanism, unfortunately.
Toxic masculinity is just one aspect of masculinity. Where I get off board is when people act like all masculinity is toxic. That is a toxic idea in and of itself.

The problem with toxic masculinity is that it fails to identify what would actually be toxic masculinity. Greed is not masculine. women have an alpha mentality too in their social groups, hence all the scheming and petty bullshit they do. If you think women don't bully, you got another thing coming. But they do even worse by destroying people emotionally for the fun of it or because they feel they deserve the attention.
I would call toxic masculinity, the actual thing, to simply be the "my dick is bigger than yours" attitude where men act tough to the point they do stupid or hurtful shit for pretty much no gain but ego. On the flipside, there is also toxic femininity where you turn into a psychopath to fulfill your need for attention.
toxic men have ego bullshit through toughness, toxic women have ego bullshit through social manipulation. Two sides of the same coin.
