Hey Jow Forums. Fa/tg/uy here. I've been a fat fuck my entire life -25 years-, and I never really cared. I had my vidya and warhammer 40k, and as a quasi-NEET **only ever worked part time jobs, never more than 20 hours a week**, that was good enough. Sure, my knee is fucked, constantly popping out of the socket when I walk, but who REALLY cares about that, I thought.
And then... Three months ago I ended up managing to get a full time job, and I ended up making some friends with the door-greeter, who turns out to be a lot like me, but seriously into LARPing - SCA, Dagohir, etc. I'll be honest, I always found LARPing to be pretty cool when done right, so it didn't take long for him to get me interested in it.
Problem is, I'm a fat fuck who is used to sitting still for days, playing video games or assembling 40k models, and Dagohir, the LARP he does, is a combat game, so it is the opposite of what I've done for a decade. So while he's going easy on me, I'm getting my ass kicked regardless. I can't move fast enough, I tire quickly, and I'm not strong enough to hold back his charges, even when I've got a tower shield and am bracing against it. However, that wasn't what even made me decide to get into shape.
Two days ago he had let me borrow his biggest Gambeson (a type of padded armor), that was XXL. It was too tight for me to get it on. That was when I realized how fucking fat I am. It was so fucking humiliating, and I had to make a change. I loved playing vidya, and I loved playing 40k, but LARP, as goofy as it can be, has my passion, and the fact that I can't take part in something I've fallen in love with is spirit-breaking.
Sorry for the blogpost, but I was hoping I could get some advice. I don't live anywhere near a gym - Closest gym from where I live is two hours away - And all I have is an old exercise bike. I need to get into shape. Not just drop this fat, but gain strength, gain endurance, gain stamina. I read the link in the sticky, but I need help regardless.

kill yourself
I'd rather not.
Running is out of the question in your current condition, your knee wouldnt take it.
Any chance you could purchase a bike and cycle into work or as a hobby? You need to start doing something cardio based, your body is a mess as I'm sure you're aware.
Well, I got good news for you. Since you’re so goddamned fat, you’ll lose weight quickly. At first, you won’t need to change your diet. You’re going to start off by jogging and using that exercise bike. That’s all you’ll need right now. Now, if you CAN change your diet, I’d suggest doing so. Either eat smaller portions, or go hard and limit yourself to about 1500 calories. NO CHEAT DAYS. you’ve had a whole life full of cheat days. Those days are behind you now. It’s ok you eat junk food, but extremely small portions. Remember: you’re so fucking fat right now that any change is going to be immensely beneficial. You’ll see decent progress quick.
First get your cardiovascular system in shape, lose the pounds, and eat proper. You must love the goal more than your feelings, more than anything else. That is how you succeed.
I'd suggest doing proper dieting with a calorie deficit and biking first. Then once you get to a semi reasonable weight, consider running or doing HIIT running. Once your leg muscles start to build up and that testosterone gets flowing, losing weight should come a little easier. It's a snowball effect. Good luck user.
Eat less and move around more, it's really that simple .
Why do you fatties always want to over complicate things.
Pic related is what you do. No gym nearby? Buy a squatrack, a bench and some weights. You got a job so you got money.
Otherwise just get your ass on that exercise bike every day and start intermittent fasting.
There’s no quick fix I’m afraid. This is gonna Take a while and to be honest, you look like someone who has no willpower or discipline.
>Now proof me wrong faggot
The reason I advise AGAINST starting off with running or anything right now is because I doubt your joints are in shape to handle that type of abuse. Once you build up your joints that's a different story. But putting obese people onto treadmills is not the greatest idea if they don't have the proper structure strength to support it.
Running may be out of the question, but not light jogging. Just whatever you do, don’t waste time by just walking. It’s a waste of time and effort. You want your body to hurt. You want to sweat. You want to hate life. Take it from me. I was not as fat as you, but I was at 250 lbs last November. I’m now down to 193. It’s be a lot more of a loss, but I’ve been trying to eat big still so I can build muscle.
Start going to the gym 3 days a week doing a full body workout. Do cardio on off days. Cut out all soda from diet, drink only water.
Do that for a few months until gym is a habit. Then work on cleaning up your diet more. Don't try to change everything at once, you'll likely burn out
If you cant lose weight and become fit you are a pathetic cuck that should kill himself. Being fit is one of the easiest things you can do
No, fat people on treadmills is bad all around. First, it’s hell on the treadmill. I’m not even saying that to be funny. My gyms gone through a couple of treadmills because of this one 300+lb body lifter who runs those damn things into the ground. But light jogging outside is great, as you can easily adjust your pace. It takes a little longer for treadmills to change speed, and I’ve seen some fat guys fall because of this.
Fast with snake juice
Sadly I can't cycle to work. Since I live in the middle of nowhere, it is an hour and a half round trip to get to my work by car. I do have a bike, however, since when I was working that 20 hour a week job I was cycling to work, so I can do that.
Thanks. I'll try to limit myself to 1500 calories.
I'll prove you wrong. I've got the will and the desire to change. So fucking sick of being a fatass. I want to be able to do shit. Enjoy my life, like I was meant to.
>not changing diet.
Thats the very first thing he should do. Get my fitness pal and try to eat under 2000 calories a day.
Alright user, here's the deal: this isn't going to be easy.
Its going to take a long time. And its going to be difficult.
Your knee is going to need physical therapy. The exercise bike is a good start. You should start taking walks around your neighborhood, every day. Once you feel like your knee can handle it, you might try jogging. This will probably be the thing that will take the longest. You can't just jump into exercise full force. Your body will need time to adjust to such a drastic change. This is why you should only walk at first. Maybe a month or two of extended, slightly quick paced walking before you get into any type of stressful cardio. Strength will have to come with practice. You need to work on pushups, sit ups, body squatting (once your knee is better of course), look up some online guides to getting started, they'll show you how to do some easier versions of each to get you started.
Here's the thing though: you gotta really want it user. Again, its going to be a long and difficult journey. None of this will happen fast. It isn't always going to feel great. You won't want to do it. But thats when you absolutely do it. You push yourself till your breathing hard. You work even when you're sore. You don't give up. The secret is that its all about consistency. If you make sure you dont skip (barring rest days), and you really push yourself to excel and do better, you can do it. But that's all up to you, user. When the day comes that you can keep up your LARP brothers, or even do better than them, you'll understand the true reward of success.
If you think you're up to it, then Godspeed to you. And good luck.
yo anyone tryna buy some #Kush ?
Why even bother? I can tell by your face that you'd be incel regardless of your body. Just do what makes you happy (in this case eating).
>Implying the reason i want to get fit is because I want to get laid
Did you read the OP?
Hey wanted to ask you Jow Forums bros but didn't want to start my own thread so ill piggyback off of this one. I'm 5'8 235lbs. While im not fat enough to exclusively shop at a big and tall store it is not uncommon for me to be the fattest person in the room. I keep searching the internet, that includes reading the sticky, on an exercise plan that meets my goals. I don't really mind being this heavy, but I want to start building more muscle and being less 'flabby'. I understand that this is impossible so I just want to ask is there a lift/workout plan that I can follow where I can say relatively the same weight and start building more muscle, or how dudebros say "make gains". Sorry for the stupid and weird question as you may tell im a fitness noob.
maybe try to grow 4 inches
> real manlet hours
>I don't really mind being this heavy
You should. Not saying that to be an asshole but that's a BMI of 35 which is well into obese. It'll be so much easier to lose 50 pounds but start lifting while you do it, so you at least have the technique / programming down before you start concentrating on strength.
You could start lifting tomorrow if you want, but that much flab is going to fuck your mobility and stamina.
you know what to do user
eat healthy food in a caloric deficit
cook it all yourself
walk for an hour on an empty stomach every morning
cut out all sugar from your diet.
>not changing diet
>jogging
Nigga wtf are you talking.
Start fasting fatties, you have stored enough energy to last for months. Now use it.
Aight listen here brah. You've taken your first step, and you're getting into shape because of yourself and not anyone else. First up you go to your fridge freezer or wherever you store your shit food. And fucking throw it in the garbage. Second, begin taking walks around the block. Don't matter if you can't manage more than 100m or whatever, just move around. It's a great start. Hereafter try calisthetics, use your body as your workout method. Get some vitamins in ya and try your hardest to stay under 2000 cals a day. No diet soda either that shit ain't good for ya. And just remember: we're all gonna make it brah. Good luck on your journey bigman
i dont have experience with that kind of weight, but i think running is out of question, too much load on already fucked up knees
have you considered the pool? it will have a considerable amount of stress from people looking at you but i think it's the safest option that also allows you to lose weight
eating less and better is obviously a must, but try to go step by step
