is anyone else here pissed off that they never got to go on a life adventure? something like in video games or anime where you just take off with friends and crash in towns and camping out and shit and seeing the world. you could like learn to cook yourself having fires by a tent and shit and meet new people.
it just sucks because in real life there's only jobs and shit. thtere's not really like walking around with a big ass sword and have a mage behind you and shit. it's more like just trying to get a job and build up as much comfort as you can where you are now and just try to have sex. thats it.

You just need to lower your standards for what you perceive as an adventure. Life is never going to be a video game. Ever been on a vacation? Adventure. Ever picked up a new hobby or mastered a skill? Adventure. Ever walked a dog to a new location or spot? Adventure. If you like video games, ever been to a cosplay thingy or a convention? Adventure. Ever talked to someone new? Adventure. Ever stepped out of your comfort zone? Adventure. I used to think the same thing as you. Used to be a NEET too. Ended up hitchhiking halfway across the country for an adventure. It's exciting, and it's certainly a thing to do once in your life. Next time I'll do a road trip, but you just can't live like that, it's a vacation not a lifestyle. So the key is to try and find enjoyment in the little things that could be seen as an adventure. My uncle told me the same thing when I was little and I thought he was a stooge for thinking it. Then he died, and it was too late for me to tell him he was right.
I joined the military and got to see some pacific countries which was cool but being stuck with military sucked 90% the fun out of it. I want to try study abroad. I'm sure you guys could get some sort of grant or scholarships and go to college then study abroad

I just hop from hostel to hostel for the exact reasons you mentioned. its by far the most uncomplicated way to travel, plus I can leave whenever I want as opposed to renting a flat which often have minimum stay periods. you get used to staying in a room with other people very quickly. most of them are out all day anyway (the normalfucks) and the people who stay are usually hungover or introverts like myself. also hostels are very cheap so I dont have to work often.

I was also a depressed fag, still am due to our shitty brain structure. One thing that makes me feel genuinely happier is working out. It gets my blood pumping and every time I'm lifting on the gym I'm genuinely feeling more alive than any other time. That combined with getting into good shape, looking better, feeling better, and the anti-depressive effect of exercise all compounds. Plus I get to go outside and when I come home I feel good about relaxing. I'm thinking I will hit the gym every damn day from now on because days that I dont I start to feel depressed. Also try omega 3 supplements and vitamin D. Honestly work like drugs to make the depression ease up. Love you dude.

but even with 40 hours i manage to get time off here and there. i planned plenty of weekend camping trips and stuff
honestly it sounds appealing to be constantly on the move, but then you realize the things you miss like showers, your favorite restaurants, routine, your favorite spot in the house to chill, cooking at home, things like that are immensely enjoyable parts of life as well. so i think the ideal life is a mix of being rooted in a place punctuated by periods of travel

Going without showers only feels gross when you've been keeping your sebacious glands overactive with frequent showering and failing to clean your butt. I usually go at least a week, and sometimes months. The downside is needing to use a towel as a pillowcase. I just washed one my technical shirts because it was getting smelly and the water was pretty dark. Having a shower today before I try out the stretchy headphone covers arriving tomorrow :-)
