I know someone who edits Wikipedia articles and it's mostly autists and people with agendas, yes. They argue like fucking crazy on the discussion pages about minor shit and a huge portion of the editing volunteers are open, history-revising Communists.

Wikipedians are at-least somewhat educated. The real question is what kind of a person edits tvtropes wiki articles. Some of the articles on tvtropes are so detailed and have autism shining from it.
