What's 2+8? 10 minutes total for all moves?

2 min total for each player plus 8 sec increment everytime you make a move

you start with 2 minutes on the clock and receive 8 more seconds for every move you make

Wow, that's too fast for me. When I played as a kid, I'd always sit for minutes thinking about moves and bore my kid opponents to death. I don't think I'd be able to play this fast, and I wasn't good anyway.

I actually think this is quite a slow pace. 1+0 is where it's at
