Payday 2 is a fun game to start, a lot of the people there are chill and it isn't hard to find a new friend at all.

Vrchat can be pretty fun, it's literally a game about socializing.

It's been so long since I actually made a friend in a game. I don't like befriending people not from Jow Forums. I don't know why. I love the idea of MMORPGs but every time I try playing them I get lonely and bored. I wish I could have fun with them. They seem perfect for me, but I just can't do it...

Overwatch might be a good one. Lots of friendly people amongst the rude/quiet ones.

try oldschool runescape, the community is now filled of mostly wholesome people. just make sure to be on membership servers and not the free ones because they are covered in bots

Quake Champions is another good game with wholesome players. The game will kick your ass but the people who kick your ass will help you
