Good evening robots
Today I'm making some pizza and I wanna bring you all along for the ride. First we're gonna make the sauce. You can see here that I have some garlic, basil, and oregano. We'll be tossing these in some hot olive oil.
Making pizza
put pineapple on it pussy
dont actually [/spolier]
Here it is in the oil cooking in the saucepan. I also added some salt and dried oregano. Just let the garlic brown to bend adding in tomatoes
>Just let the garlic brown to bend adding in tomatoes
What the fuck did he mean by this?
Hes actually making the sawce
What a fugin madman
I'm making it in the style of Naples (Margherita; just sauce, mozzarella, and basil)
Here are the tomatoes I've chosen for the sauce. It's going into the saucepan and crushed with a wooden spoon
jot this the fuck down
we got a master cheif on our hans
>HES.... HES ACTUALLY USING... GET THIS.... FUCKING. CANNED. TOMATOES.
stop it
hes master chefif
Dont diss a fella for saving a few nickles there chief
Sorry, I on my phone and it's hard to type it all out while stuff is cooking. I almost burned the garlic. But what I meant was
>just let the garlic brown before bending to add in the tomatoes
Here's the sauce with the tomatoes. We'll let this simmer on low while we make the dough.
>he thinks all tomatoes are the same
These are San marzano tomates. Very different from the Roma and hot house tomates you buy at the grocery store.
yo put your cum in it I'll send you $10 my guy
op is fucking axtually good at cooking
hea a master chiefes
op fucking dies
nice
I wanna fuck that sauce OP
Here's what we need for the dough. Yeast, flour (bread or all purpose; they result in crisper or chewier crusts), olive oil, salt, and warm water (around 100 F, no more than 110 F)
coking wit maftrr shef
using extra virgin seems like a weird choice
Tell me why I wouldn't just order fucking dominos. Fucking 100 degree water
It fits the board I say let it be
>fine crystals
there are people out there who actually care about how fine their salt crystals are?
you fucking pleb lern to cook virgin
people often want them to be rougher and chunkier, that's the whole point of kosher salt
Here I mixed about 2 and 1/2 cups of the flour with salt in the big bowl (you can also add sugar if you like)
And then I mixed the yeast up with the water. It's smart to also let the yeast bubble so you know it's activated like your almonds, but I trust my yeasty bacteria friends :)
please tell me you have a pizza steel/cast iron pan
>brown finger
Gross.
if you have a cast iron pan and dont know about this goodness, just put your oven on full blast for like 20 mins, then slide the pizza onto it once ready, itll cook real fast and the crust will be not shit
more brown than my fucking dick woah
op stirs batter wut fat man cock?
Thats a fagotty ass finger
Lighting user, I know a white man cooking when I see one.
Hey, an actual thread I'm interested in
I.e dis gon be gud
After mixing all the dough ingredients together in the bowl, I moved it all onto a floured counter top. I know it looks horrible right now, but just wait until after I knead it
Hey, I got a question. When making dough or pie crust and lifting it up onto something (after you knead it) how do you het it to not rip?
snort it puzzy
>knead
wtf does this mean hahaha op youre fucking awesome
Why would you laugh about not understanding a word? Are you proud to be dumb?
And here's the dough back in the pot. It's gonna sit in there with the lid on for about an hour or two. I'm not sure what to do in that time, so I made a nice little hole in the dough for me to stick the head of my dick into
>not knowing its a solid chunk now
No op please, its turning out good so far
Pics ploz user
you dont want it to be the final size when you pick it up, just knead it to 3/4ths of the way, then pick it up and roll over your knuckles till its your desired size.
after that, you can place it on your pizza peal or baking sheet if you're jank (make sure to dust with cornmeal or something so it slides around). then add toppings/sauce
>2 hours
It was a good thread
I'm at the edge of my seat OP
HOW IS THIS NOT ORIGINAL
I admire the fact that you don't understand a word and laugh. I wish I could be like u.
Back to the IItalian Chef cook
>is it possible that you could add a bit pepperoni, because I love pepperoni
We have to bump in order to keep it alive
no but I'm proud of not taking myself too seriously
b-bump me harder user
you become a man when you know to cook well
it either dissolves or I top it on my food and I get a nice texture. It's heavenly on french fries (I made that on here a few weeks ago if anybody rembers me)
yes I do! I bought it today just for this pizza
I actually am half white and half of a bunch of other stuff. I'm not sure what that is but it's made me appear very racially ambiguous
thanks friendo, glad you're here
some people like to use a spatula or use a bench scraper. I just use my hands
kneading is that thing that people do with baked goods where they push it together and fold it and stuff. You've probably seen it in a movie or something
>when the master makes a dramatic entrance in an anime
This is getting more intense then the season finale of New Girl
I'm not going away, so we can all just chat and keep it /comfy/ cooking
nice get my dude
that's a very nice trait to have user :^)
>bump me senpai desu
>when everybody knows they're gonna get fucked in the contest except the main protag is confident and tries to befriend the master shefu
Cool well while we're waiting tell me about how I should go about learning cooking.
here's a pizza i made earlier this week senpai, I hope you like it! >.
Hey, thanks for the advice I appreciate it
>why are penguins so tragic
Anyways, the best way to start is to improve upon the dishes you already know. Then you start looking at cooking forums or websites (/ck/ is almost useless, but I recently saw a cooking tips/improvement general which is nice). Also watch a lot of cooking vids on youtube.
Is there anything you'd like to make eventually? or anything that you really like making already?
It looks wonderful user. there's a good even spread of toppings in there. The dough looks a bit dry and overworked but it's a solid pizzarino
>inb4 my dough ends up looking dry and overworked
no problem! if you really want to up your pizza game I recently learned that you can use a cast iron pan as a cheap pizza steel alternative if you dont have one, gives you nice crispy crust that tastes like the real thing. you can get a cast iron pan relatively cheap and they do the job for just about everything.
PUT SOMETHING ON IT FAGGOT. Pizza without topping is one of the gayest things you can do.
yeah my dough game was a bit weak there, I've since been able to get a lot better results by covering the pan, as I use a convection oven.
Dude the dough isn't even done yet, chill lol
More advice! Thanks for what you're doing user
Curry is my shit. I wanna make curry and other Asian rice-meat-sauce dishes that are really fucking good. What's a good cooking youtuber to watch? I'm a beginner
I'll let you know this is a great and novel thread and I was needing this.
Binging with babish is really good for beginners, watch his older videos first I'm, as he tends to glaze over a lot of the simpler processes nowadays. Gordon Ramsay also has some videos but I didn't find them super helpful. I actually learned a lot from the anime/manga shokugeki no soma lol.
hey OP you rock
best thread I've seen in a while, enjoying it a lot
what are you doing coming up in my thread with your good advice
Well it sounds like you're not giving up and that's what matters. That's how you become a real pizzaiolo
>curry
The one dish I haven't tried too much on. A good channel to watch is chef john's stuff. He makes a ton of different stuff most of them real easy too.
youtube.com
yeah babish is pretty good. But he goes over stuff more in depth on his Basics episodes
basicswithbabish.co
Thanks anons, it's nice to put some soul back into this board once in a while
youtube.com
This is also pretty much the holy grail of omelette videos. pepin is one of the best and I was able to cook one of the french omelettes right after I saw the video
This guy has a ton of content and does plenty of beginner-friendly stuff:
Hey, you know where to find more poctures like the one you posted? (I like aesthetic artworks)
>posting ja/ck/ outside of /ck/
get ready for some (you)'s
>not kay
youtube.com
>cooking with oil
Welp you already ruined it.
enjoy your stones
Hey, what's the reply limit on Jow Forums again?
Keep up the good work op! Really enjoying this thread
Dry your cummies for shredded cheese
I'm pretty sure I picked these up from a thread at /wg/
10/10 shitposting skills OP
great thread bump
very wholesome
lol its a comfy thread, keep popping in on my phone/pc to see how it's coming along
It's only been about an hour and a half, but the dough has doubled in size so I'll just get started. I'm gonna put it out and then divide it into four balls
Thanks for waiting everybody
FINALLY it has begun
I haven't posted at all, but I've been following it. You should consider what other anons are saying and mix your cummies in as a topping.
They're cut up and formed into 4 evenish balls
>now to wait another 10 minutes huehue
ayy we in it
Noooooooooo not another 10 minutes :(
(Really enjoying this thread though)
Thanks for this thread user very comfy
>SPECIAL ALERT
