Robots with cars, have you ever encountered anything odd while driving at night? Spoopy stories from nightwalkers also welcome. Unfortunately I don't have anything to share, as I live in a very quiet town. I'm going to hike out into the wilderness for a week or two this autumn though, so I'm looking forward to some potential spooks.
I might also get killed by some horrific beast, so who knows.
>be me in honda pickup >driving down dirt road >deer runs in front of car >stop completely and manage not to hit deer >deer fucking stands up and screeches >go around it and fucking speed off
Still dont know how or wut the fuck
Adrian Lee
Just asking if you want to drive together at night...
Charles Reyes
No, my pee cee can barely get away with running Arma 2. My CPU is fine for everything in the Arma series, but my integrated graphics can barely manage.
Jonathan Brooks
Do you play Arma: Cold War Assault? I'd go on night drives with you, we could just shoot the shit and drive around. Or set up some spooky scenarios at night and in the rain with the undead, it could be fun.
Ayden Wood
That's a shame. If you ever get a new PC make a thread and hopefully I'll see it. All the Arma 2 maps are in Arma 3 so we can play your favourites and sometime in 2017 they added an update that adds the sound of rain hitting the roof of the vehicles and it's so comfy.
Oliver Harris
I think I own them all on Steam but I've only played 3. I wanted to play through 2's campaign but there was a weird bug that prevented medic stuff from working that's apparently still not fixed and probably never will be.
Sebastian Brown
I'm going to get a GPU later this summer, so I hope you see the thread when I make it. Multiplayer with one other person shouldn't put too much strain on my mediocre system, my CPU and RAM are fine I just don't have a video card.
Aaron Gomez
2's campaign honestly isn't worth playing. I've never been into the whole special forces thing anyway. That's why I like Cold War Assault so much, it really gives you the vulnerable feeling of being a basic grunt.
As far as the editor's concerned though, 2 and 3 are vastly superior to anything else in the series.
Landon Green
>it really gives you the vulnerable feeling of being a basic grunt I like playing with the mod that adds Russian gear. It's all very basic. I play with a normal AK, maybe some awful night vision if absolutely necessary. No optics or whatever. I like the challenge of it and the sounds are satisfying.
>driving home at 3am or something >don't have my high beams on >long, scenic road >black lady out of nowhere walking on the side of the road in the bike lane at 3am, way too close to the car lane
also
>3am or sometime past midnite, again >fucking stoner, was probably smoking weed in my car >nobody on the roads in this small ass town, deader than dead >even the busiest intersection is dead no cars anywhere >finish up whatever I was doing, go back to the main road >see a figure walking >it's dark as fuck, only shitty old ass streetlights to see specific parts of the road >it's a pedestrian so I have to wait until they cross before I can drive into the main road >figure gets close enough >all I can make out are sexy almost knee-high boots >I saw what possibly was a prostitute at 3am on a weekend
Justin Howard
I really wish I had a shitbox to drive around at night in. I wish insurance weren't so expensive.
>out driving at night, 420blazeit >really strange night, super foggy >country backroads, listening to some tech n9ne before he became awful >suddenly raccoon appears in road >I slow down as I saw it early enough >coon looks directly at me and sprints full speed teeth bared snarling into my vehicle, pic related >of course run it over, shake it off no big deal just a rabid animal >next corner another one runs out and I slow down >runs paralell to my car for a bit before looking at me and turns into my path >raccoon suicide as I feel its body get thrown into the wheel well >pass by another dead raccoon on the side of the road shortly after
I also saw a car pulled to the side of the road, doors open, running, dome light on as if the person ran out hastily on that same road that night. Legitimately creepy as these events were in a very close area. I imagine the zombie raccoons overtook that poor driver.
I saw a dead body on the road while driving to work
Michael Brooks
Operation Flashpoint is vastly superior to any ARMA game.
I fucking threw away my Arma CD, and got a hold of some old Ghost Recon games.
Ryder Walker
Arma 2 is okay, but it's campaign is trash. Arma is basically a platform for the mission editor and mods. Operation Flashpoint however, is perfect in every way.
Isaac Rogers
That's very odd user.
Landon Barnes
I've seen a dead guy too. I was country driving between states one night and a guy on a motorbike overtook me. Wasn't going notably fast (most bikers on those roads really floor it).
About half an hour later I see a bunch of pulled over cars. On the road is a lot of blood and like chunks of people. There was a mangled up motorbike on the the side of the road and this shredded looking biker body of the dude who overtook me.
Was really gross.

Please, we need better content over there. Bringing it back to "scary stories to tell in the dark" would be a massive step up from "Do you have a moment to talk about JESUS?"
