Mix these in a liter of water and sip it throughout the day. The apple cider vinegar and lemon are optional.
You can also do this if you feel lightheaded, weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc., on shorter water fasts. Don’t do this while intermittent fasting.
Or just drink piss.

Artificial sweeteners and diet soda are bad for you and may fuck up your fast. Zero calorie black coffee and tea are generally considered to be fine. Piss is optimal.

Lads, I always believed I was 6ft tall. I was measured at school years ago, I was among the taller guys around and I always felt great at being part of the 6ft club. Until I joined uni and measured myself in 2013 and saw I was 5'10.5 at best. Fuck whoever did the measurements, now I can't cope and wear (tasteful) boots exclusively and slip in a 2cm insole whenever I can so I'm effectively 6'1 in boots. Feels so damn good, you 6'1 barefoot giants have it made.

They actually do, but they advice caution with refeeding. Dr. Ben Bikman debunked the protein myth, he says get in 1-2g/kg of bodyweight daily and fill the rest with fats while keeping carbs

I don't disagree but a potato is a vegetable and yet eating too many potatoes will spike your insulin and you'll not be able to burn body fat. It's science.

I prefer eating leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, limited carrots.
If I go a little over 50g I don't care but if I go at 100g carbs then while that's in my system I have higher insulin and I'm not burning fat. I'm OK with that if I'm lifting heavy the next morning.

Basically you have to try hard in order to eat enough salad to get >50g carbs, unless it's a potato salad or you're bulking (you might want the insulin effect then).

70kg / 154 pounds is the mid point of your healthy BMI range which is a reasonable target.

Your fat cells aren't flushed away they are just drained of the water. There are also other ways of achieving this other than a "carb flush", such as a "salt water flush".

This entails adding 3 teaspoons of salt to 4 cups of water and then sipping it over about 30 minutes (to avoid gagging, it's pretty fucking revolting).

Within about an hour you will become very dehydrated and your body will purge itself of the water in your cells in order to flush the salt water out of your system.

Sure, you'll end up shitting brown water for about 3 - 4 hours, but as long as you don't drink anything during that period all of the water will come from your own cells.

I have done this twice now as it is the only non-calorie mechanism I have found to clear weight plateaus caused by water retention.

Sure - this is exactly what happens if you put on weight, which is why weight maintenance is all about draining those fat cells periodically.

For myself, once I reach my weight loss goal I intend to switch to a periodic fasting regime (probably ADF to create a schedule for lifting on non-fasting days), thus keeping those fat cells from filling again, or at least draining those that have refilled.

Unfortunately we're fighting against an intrinsic part of the body's survival mechanism that has become obsolete in the West. It is trying to store energy in the form of fat for a famine that will no longer come.

The whoosh will happen after a while don't worry, unless you eat too much and get fat again.

I understand that, but the longer you fast the less you'll worry about this kind of stuff and the more you'll care about how you look and how you feel. So, take pictures every week, and record how you feel every day. I put my pictures side-to-side after I felt like I hadn't really lost that much, and the difference in 2 weeks was crazy (I'm not even overweight).

You don't really need to worry about this unless you are doing fasts in excess of 10 - 15 days where weight plateaus are both frustrating and obvious.

If the max you are doing is 72 hours, don't worry about it.

Then you should seriously consider fasting until you aren't fat anymore. Back in November I was in exactly the same position, 256 pounds at 5' 8", which is so far off that chart it is unreal.

Now, 202 days later and after 148 days of fasting I'm down to a far more reasonable 179 pounds.

Still got another 30 pounds to go to reach my target, but I'll get there soon enough.
