I used to play on a role-playing server that had about 400 people who all took it way too seriously.

On one hand its how I lost my virginity. On the other, that entire ordeal was a rabbit hole I never should have gone down.

Back in the day I would mostly just log on to some random server, build a unique house, then leave. I'm considering making a commitment to some small survival server though. I haven't played in forever.

I've been very nostalgic for minecraft lately. I used to stay up all night on thr weekends building shit with my 3 friends, hanging out in the one guy's basement, drinking some mtn dew. I remember one of our other friends hacking and we had to confront him in school.

I stopped playing a long time ago, but it always brings me back to a simpler time.

I was committed to two r9k servers before. The first had the only functioning, populated, comfy city I have seen in minecraft and the second I built a 4000+ block long rail system which was very comfy. I really want to make a modded server that inspires robots to work together and have jobs like in Minefantasy 2 or TFC where there are leveling systems for different jobs and survival is tough but not if you work together. Nothing comfier than having a job you like in minecraft and selling what you produce so you can get more supplies to build up your home.

As I recall 2012 was when minecraft was flooded by normies and slowly turned into the kids game.

Maybe it's just cuz I'm a wagecuck and not a neet but that sounds awful. I liked economy mods because after unloading enough crap you didn't need or working a ton on your shit you basically unlocked creative mode with the wealth you amassed.

Not accusing or nothing, I played on some comfy servers up through 2013, but 2012 was definitely the change.

A long-dead mod that overhauled the redstone sytem and added a bunch of cool automation stuff. Along with industrialcraft and buildcraft it was one of the essential tech mods that everyone had, but then the creator dropped off the face of the earth.
