Are you an average American man?

Are you an average American man?

>number of men who would rather work out than have sex: 1 in 7
I wonder what that number would be for just Jow Forums

>average American male height: 5'9.2"
the only thing you learn'd is Photoshop, manlet

Attached: ucno.gif (325x235, 1.59M)

Why do they use that pic for those 'average' stats anyway?
The averages are so amazingly bad that it's like the worst pic to use.
Also how did they find out the '13%' that are 'actually fit'?
I know for a fact not everyone at the gym is fit so what's the criteria.
Everytime I see this picture there's more I want to comment on because it's either bad or feels like a lie

>average number of pullups: 1

Attached: 1461955687308.jpg (378x397, 11K)

The one that really throws me is the 52 bpm heartrate. With a mile time that suggests literally half of it is walking and only one pull-up, this is impossibly low. I wonder if they are including dead people in their poll?

Normies are literally sub-human, user.
You should know this by now.

More sad is that the median is likely 0.

>13" biceps (flexed)
Can some rainman autists do calcs on how short the guy in the pic must be to have a 13 inch arm at those proportions?

>thinking that guy has 13" biceps

found the actual autist

Isn't pic related average american man?

Attached: GodsMistake.jpg (674x506, 203K)

All this has shown me how incredibly out of shape the general populace is. The fact that most people can't do even bodyweight exercises just sickens me.

Pathetic. I can do at least 3

I might have a bmi of 29, but thank god I can do good form pull-ups for reps. Who the fuck can't do a single pull-up?

The bpm were for an average "fit man" not an average man.

>Beats per minute of a fit man's resting heart rate
>fit man
Tricksy
Real average for normies is probably 100+

That's what the magazine says

>5'9

Attached: 1511096914376.jpg (1080x1086, 100K)

13" biceps is the average for skinny women or 13 year old boys wtf is wrong with skelly america

average

Attached: skinny-fat-guy.png (178x262, 48K)

Not sure how the determined the average mile time, but they may very well have had half the participants walk because they couldn't run a mile.

>1(one) pull up

Attached: 1546422657487544.jpg (953x1282, 107K)

With more than 60% of the population being overweight and probably more than half of the other 40% being too weak to do a single pullup, I can believe this.

My guess is that "fit" probably refers to being able to run a mile in a respectable time and shit like that, not being muscular. So basically only people who do sports on a regular basis fall in this category.

>2.87 hours exercise per week
What do they count as exercise? Bringing the trash out or what?

>3 hours of exercise a week

Attached: 1528391302177.png (500x374, 152K)

I am better than the average burger in every way apart from heart rate
>The American FEARS the Irish BVLL

>12:17 mile
>12 minutes 17 seconds to run 1600 meters
>1600 meters in 737 seconds
>less than 8 kph for 1600 meters
Jesus fucking christ. I genuinly hope my Jow Forums ameribros try to stay well under this number. I want to say runs faster but there's no one I know that takes that fucking long for 1600 meters, everyone I know is well under that.

>average pull ups: 1
Strict pull ups I can do 14. The world is fucked.

>One (1) pull up

I'm short but have a big cock.

These are all "fit men" stats, otherwise it would be very different

Strangely enough, this matches my stats pretty closely. But I'm Japanese...

Kek

>less than 3 hours of exercise per week
>33 push-ups in a minute
>180lb flat bench 1rm
>12 minute mile time

we're some estating, out of shape bums aren't we?

Cope harder Amerifat

I call bs on 2.87 hours per week of exercise. Huge majority of people dont exercise at all

Kek’d

>Real average for normies is probably 100+
100 is crazy high, I get there when riding my bike slowly.

That's a Walmart-American, a special subset.

Is that 5'9 stat true? I find that hard to.believe. I'm 6' and I don't feel like I'm taller than the average people I meet

>Average height 5'9
>Average Chode length 5"

Blessed to not be an Amerifat

Attached: 1460299556818.jpg (600x600, 105K)

In 2-3 weeks I went from doing 0 to 3 so yeah that is pathetic. My biceps have also grown more in those weeks than in months bicep curling.

>taller than average
>longer dick than average
>work out more than average
>more pullups than average
>have nearly-prohibitively-high sexual stamina (thanks, /d/)

This is a good thread.

what you fap to dude?

I spend maybe 2$ a year to supplements
16 chin ups
Penis 6.3 inches
Waist size 33.5"
Chest (not inhaled) 46"
Height 6'2
Weight 185 lbs
t. a Finn

Muscle girls, muscle futa, fecundity

It truly is pathetic but still not as pathetic as the 12 minute mile. My most recent fastest was 5:53 and when I was a fatty my mile was around 10 minutes.

Is 3800m in 13 min alright?

>muscle girls
Valmet is best muscle waifu btw

Averages mean nothing in the presence of extreme variance

dude, are you me?
t. another finn

Others have pointed out that the bpm stat says "fit" while all the other stats don't. But of course there's no definition of "fit" anywhere, so this number is basically meaningless.

Yes, a 3.5 minute mile is solid. Four in a row is really good.

Yeah thats actually pretty fast. Ive been meaning to build up to 2+ miles at a sub 7 minute speed.

17% bodyfat is surprisingly good, considering the other stats, thought the average would be 25% or around that

I meant kilometer. A 3.5 minute mile I think would be a world record.

user you are bad at math

Know what user.
I think we should have a discussion.
What would be considered the average level of physical fitness for a normie man and normie cumdumpster?

>Average number of pullups: 1
>Average number of pushups: 33

Attached: 1360653390750.jpg (576x432, 22K)

1 pullup& 1.1 lbs of fat gain per year? Good God, fellas lets get working out.

Attached: You Killed Me.jpg (480x600, 46K)

>tfw 24 cm biceps

Well I feel better now I'm far above average

This. They probably classify "light walking" as exercise.

I feel like they got half these stats really really wrong. I'd say just about every person at my gym can do 6-8 pull ups except for the people that just signed up for summer break.

That bench seems horribly disproportional to the pullups, especially when you realize the retards can only pull up 170 once but bench for fucking 180? Like what is that dude.
That's horrific.

you're forgetting about negative pullups

How do I become able to do more than a couple pullups? Will just lat pulldiwns be enough?

watch scooby's video on it or a couple others. Basically just fucking mash them out

Lat pulldowns help but pullups utilize all your stabilizers. Do lots of negatives, hold youirself in place, etc.

I'm still pretty bad and can only do about 10 in a row myself but it's definitely progress

lmao, this is the not photoshopped version

Attached: average.png (528x719, 778K)

I like that most of those are still achievable.

lmao

Attached: 1375950389141.jpg (252x221, 11K)

based on the pullups I see at the gym I don't think most people on Jow Forums can do an actual pullup with good form

> spending $874 on “supps bro”
> having 13” noodles
> 1 pull-up
> 180 bench
> 12 fucking minute mile?
How do you drop a G in that shit and still be DYEL

nice

>not going to 24hr gym so you can sex and lift at 2 in the morning

>Meters and kph
Kys Eurocucks

To be fair I cannot do a single pullup unassisted and I have been working out for 4 months now.

i start every workout with 20

I love it how the guy in the pic is like top 1% of fitness yet the article is baout averages

>tfw can do 6-8 perfect form pull-ups from full extension, now, where 6 months ago, I couldn't even do 1 unassisted

It's a real good feel, man.

The 180 bench press HAS to be self-reported, right? There's no way there are people who can bench more than bodyweight but can only do one pull up and run a 12:17 mile

>I can only 1rm 205 on bench.
>365 dl
>245 atg squat
>115 shoulder
Close to average but I think my dl is ok for where I'm at. Squat is hard to judge because most people say they do 3pl8 but they don't break parallel. I've seen very few break parallel when squat. I was doing 285sqt but wasn't breaking parallel and went to atg and that shit is hard af and hard on the knees.
>I have such a hard time improving bench, not sure why 5x5 works so well on dl but bench I plateau for almost 2 months...

I’m much stronger than the average american and I don’t even lift.
Yeah, probably self reported. I assume, if it’s true, that it’s a very shitty rom. Keep in mind that gym normies avoid pull ups and focus on pecs and biceps most of the time. So anything involving a press or a curl will make 90% of their routine.

Yeah, also the 17% bf? Please. A third of american men are obese.

Maybe out of the two dozen gym-goers they surveyed..

Thanks for the goals based Finn.
t. American dyel.

did they just have em write down their bp 1rm? im guessing most of em would have lied lmao. I think the average normie would die under anything over 70 kg

At the end of high school you could get a free A if you could rep 55-60 (can't quite remember) kg for 8 reps. Only a few of us could do it (I was not among them). Obviously not representative, but looking at everyone I know, it kinda is.

Yes, but are the people in your gym the AVERAGE american man?
I'll answer it for you: No, because the average american man doesn't go to the gym.
Your friends who can do 8 pullups compensate for 7 average guys who can do 0, bringing the average to 1.

Well, 1 hr 3 times a week is basically Starting Strength or StrongLifts for the first 2 months.
