How practical is doing a 3 day water fast to aggressively target fat ? Anyone have any experience / fasting advice ? Is it a meme ?
How practical is doing a 3 day water fast to aggressively target fat ? Anyone have any experience / fasting advice...
Why don't you just simply try it and find out you absolute fucking faggot
It's useless. 1 day after the fast you will look like before. If you want to loose weight, take your time
Bet you look like the guy in the pic you absolute fucktard. Anyways I don't want to do something that's shit if it has no benefit
Three days won't do much. Obviously you'll lose fat, but it won't be noticeable.
I've done three extended water fasts, and it's hands-down the fastest way to lose weight. It's also very easy to regain the weight after, as when you drop the weight your metabolism will slow down proportional to how much weight you've lost. This has nothing to do with fasting itself, all weight loss induces a lowered metabolism. The issue is that the weight loss is so rapid that your appetite won't adjust to your new metabolic rate at the same pace you lose weight.
Do you care about losing muscle?
>doesn't want to take 3 days out of his life to try something
You lose less muscle fasting Tbh, but only if you avoid working out.
I'm probably around 13% bodyfat and just looking to lean up in the face following eating like shit for exams
Pretty much the situation
I've done three extended fasts. Lost strength and mass on each one.
If you don't care about muscle loss, fasting is the easiest way to lose weight. If you want I can dig up before/after pics from my longest (fourteen day) fast.
Would be very appreciated bro
No, you lost glycogen and intramuscular fat. Yes, you do lose some, but not even close to at the rate you do with standard dieting (including meme diets like PSMF). BUT you would lose more if you shot yourself in the foot and worked out for the duration.
Total weight loss was 20 pounds, 183 to 163. The after pic was taken after eating normally for a week, and I weighed 167 there. No idea how much was fat/water/ muscle, but I obviously leaned out a bit.
Muscle impact doesn't look that bad at all - seems like a pretty good tradeoff in your case ngl
>PSMF
>Meme diet
Quit replying to this thread, brainlet. How many fasts have you done?
Muscle loss isn't super noticeable. My strength, however, even a week after the fast (where I ate normally) was down the shitter and lifts were shaky.
Multiple. I also wasted like two months trying with PSMF with nothing to show for it but 30kg lost from my total and SI joint inflammation. Fasting actually fixed a lot of my shit once I stopped trying to work out while doing it and also got off the coffee.
You lost basically no muscle, would guess like 5 pounds max.
>didn't regain muh strength in a week
What the fuck did you expect? It takes way longer than that to return to running on glycogen. And pro-tip: 1 week is nothing, it takes like 3 weeks after a meet to lift anything above like 60%.
I don't run on glycogen, dipshit. I haven't consumed any appreciable amount of carbs since around January of this year.
Interesting anectdote about PSMF. I've done two and had no issues. Better than fasting if you lift imo
>what is endogenuous glycogen
Understandably your body does not waste nutrition on funneling glycogen to your muscles if you are consuming absolutely nothing. It takes a short while to readapt towards regular use of them, and again, complaining about two weeks is absolute nonsense.
As for PSMF, it is probably the most miserable I have ever been, any extremely low calorie diet is but especially one that also restricts fat.
If you didn't lose weight on a PSMF you did something wrong.
I did lose weight. I also lost 30kg off my total which took me like 4 months to recover.
Did you lift during the PSMF?
>you retain more muscle by eating nothing and not lifting weights
do you retards read the shit you write?
This
Duh.
Try doing even cursory google searches. Muscle loss is unavoidable with any weight loss protocol, but fasting is the most muscle sparing one. The problem of course comes when you do decide to work out, what happens when you damage your muscle, and more importantly organ tissues by inducing major stress and are not taking in xenogenous amino acids?
you must be an absolute manlet, are you?
get into keto first. take electros
you will approximately lose the ability of lifting 30-50 pounds whatever you are doing.
It is not wise. Keep eating healthy.
lift and 2-3 days of cardio.
I was a superfatty during elementary/mid school.
I swam for 2 years, 3 days/week for 1-2 hours.
it did the trick.
stop being a faggot. fasting doesn't do any shit.
