Guys I need help

So according to my doctor I can't lift weights due to the fact it will rip a part of my heart that was fixed when I was a baby trough surgery.
The doctor said only bodyweight and cardio for me. I should I go about this?

See a doctor that specialises in sports medicine instead of a gp. You probably can lift, the gp is just covering his ass.

>Get strong af doing body weight exercise
>when the time as right, max bench
>die gloriously

kek

>doctor tells don't lift heavy
>doesn't believe in it and asks for validation on a Lebanese goose hunting forum

Ayy andresito el mariquito.

You can do bodyweight but cant lift any weights at all? Smells like bullshit to me

There is a difference between unweighted squat and 3pl8 squat, buddy

Whats your disease called?

>The doctor said only bodyweight and cardio for me
kek. Doctor lift-blocking you

I believe my doctor, I just wanted this basket weaving forum to give me opinions.
Will do

You dont have to do squat and deadlifts.
I meant like lifting only with dumbbells,i dont think thats going to hurt OP if he isnt going too heavy but i would ask different doctor about this.
You dont always have to lift your max like in OP's case he could easily lift with light weights and alot reps.
This is just my opinion.

Do it at least you will die ripped

I dont get how can cardio be safe for you, but not lifting, both will make your heart work faster

The doctor is retarded.

I also cant abuse the cardio but the problem with weights is that they can dislocate the little piece in my heart

>dislocate the little piece in my heart
medfag here, your doc is full of shit but I'm to tired to explain

Dont vaguefag and explain.

It’s likely bullshit but since he’s a gp and not a trainer he will give you general safe advice. If you still want to lift you have see someone more sepecalized who can give you advice on what and what not to do

Muscle control. Takes ages, but is safe.

Heavy as fuck short term lifting does a number on your ticker. Hitt and sprinting are the way.
Short term full effort strains are stupid if your heart is weak.

>small work injury
>doctor tells me to take at least a week off
>literally head straight to the gym from doctors office

Fuck em, you just need to know your limits and work according to your own body. You can get pretty far on a calisthenics routine or something.

Cardio is harder on your heart than weight lifting. As long as intensity is similar there is not much difference between the stress of calisthenics and weightlifting. This makes no sense.

Heart patient here too user. What defect was repaired? It's been suggested here but check out a sports medicine specialist or, if you haven't already, ask a cardiologist. My cardiologist just doesn't want me powerlifting or football. Atm just do calestenics.

I have really hard time believing that because of your heart you are not allowed to lift heavy, but instead should do cardiovascular exercises

I'll do a couple of extra reps in honor of you 2day, we'll make it together senpai

Lifting is overrated anyway. Nowadays there is this whole "culture" around working out and getting fit, to the point where you can't even browse an autistic anime forum without talking to a guy who can bench 3pl8.

There is no shame in taking a step back and saying "Hey, maybe this is not for me. I don't have to do what everyone else is doing just to fit in."

>football
Yeah with a heart condition, I can see how that would be terrible.
Rugby too

you absolute faggot

The quality of posts is highly important to our community

Murmur caused by not having a separation between the hearts compartments(don't know what they are called in english), surgery at 4 months old

You can still make it, you are just destined to take a different path.
You can do plenty with the right bodyweight progressions.

Thanks user ;_;

Definitely talk to a specialist if that was your gp. Unless if something is wrong with the plug you usually shouldn't have a problem with working out.

I also got surgery when I was 8, they basically scraped off a piece of my heart to attach and enlarge a clogged artery
My cardiologist just warned me not to play rugby and sprint so idk

top kek

Honestly dude, if it were me, id die trying.

You absolute gentleman.
