Do people in your gym put the equipment back where it belongs? I"m curious if other countries have better gym etiquette. This is in Spain. Based on how unorganized Spanish people are in general, I can't imagine it's any better at other gyms

Sweden here. I go to one of the cheapest commercial gyms. It's fine most of the time. The biggest problem is that people don't hang plates in order in barbell section. Someone might put 2.5kg plate at the bottom where 20kg is supposed to be and then put 20kg on top of it. Every single time I'm there it's like that in various combinations.
As for leaving weights unracked. I've seen it handful of times. Mostly girls leave shit around, especially plates on legpress and smith machine.

fuck I'd kill for people to just put them back; nevermind the order

It's pretty good here in Estonia, most things are put back, often not in the 'proper' order or whatever, but things are rarely just left laying around

I've got a gym in my apartment complex, its pretty well stocked, its actually monitored around the clock by security to make sure no one dies or breaks the machines. People still do stupid shit and leave things out of place though.
For some reason who thot keeps bring thick foam pads over to the cable machines to stand on them and to tricep presses. I have no idea what she thinks shes doing, but she leaves them right there in the middle of the floor when shes done.

Someone always moves the fucking benches out of place too. God knows why.

I almost never see anything out of place, and my gym doesnt even have staff since its a gym for a big organisation. /Sweden

Dude, that looks like hell.

what gym?

friskis och svettis

In America people will usually call you out if you leave your shit. The more hardcore the gym the more they call you out for it. But if you to some cocksucking liberal place like planet fitness I assume the opposite

No and its mostly women that do this Shit. They pick up 20kb dumbell and cant lift it.

This is a good day. Note the squat rack is stripped of almost all weights. the bench, incline bench, and smith machines are all stripped too. people would rather leave the plates on the floor

I actually feel sorry for you, a person I don't even know.

Fitness 24?

I feel ya spainbreh
it has become surreal since my gym got bumper plates

Sone dude tried to squatmogg me using 8 5km plates for a grand total of 1pl8
I have seen people curling bumpers lmao i want to get off this ride

fuck dude. everyday something like that happens here (basic fit). someone gave me shit the other day for resting for more than 1 min on the squat rack. he then started squatting half a plate with a pad for quarter reps. I'm out of this shithole next week. what gym are you at?

Nej, men de har faktiskt öppnat i min stad ca en månad sen, googlade nyss. De är också billigare än min nuvarande gym men tyvärr jag har redan köpt års kort.

croatia here. yeah, most of the people rerack their weights. lifters here are generally ok guys, even in commercial gyms

Fellow spaniard here, people have decent etiquette where i train at least. Every now and then i see Goofy shit like pic related tho

I'm so jaded from all the shit I've seen this seems ordinary

I've belonged to I think 6 commercial gyms and 1 college gym, and people almost always pick up after themselves. The worst is the one I'm at now, though. People never put weights in the right spots on the plate trees.

Dude ran out of plates so he had to summon two manlets to make things interesting

also, US

I'm from Chile, I've never seen a gym like this.
Sometimes there's some weights where they shouldn't be, but not that much.

The only people who do rerack are latinos here. fucking spaniards

Argentina
Sometimes there's stuff lying around but not too often and it's frowned upon.
I once saw a roid raged manlet giving a coach shit because some other roidhead didn't put stuff back in its place and the coach should've done more than just warning him.

I fucking hate people with complete disregard for others and I'd love to drop a pl8 on their balls while they're working out.

Oh no, how will i live without that precious monkey infested rock

>office gym
Everything is everywhere except the dumbbells. Plates on the floor, in the wrong spot/order on the trees, left on barbells. I work in tech so a fair percentage of the shit is caused by pajeet
>LA Fitness on weekends
Generally better, but people still leave shit on bars which for the life of me I can’t figure out why. It makes it hella awkward to just stare and guess when they’re done with stuff

Germany here. Dumbbells and plates scattered all over the damned gym. I'm glad I'm reaching the size where people are intimidated enough to listen when I tell them to pick up after themselves.

east Germany mostly, and stalls are clean
west Germany nope, but full of unwashed shitskins

I hate what this Country has become, well part of it.

I've noticed that it depends heavily on the race of the individual.

some asshole at my home gym leaves the bar on the rack and puts weights all over the floor

I'm surprised to read this, from what I've experienced, german people are quite respectful toward another

No, and it's fucking hell. The dumbbell rack is always completely fucked up as idiots either don't re-rack or re-rack in the wrong place (like placing the 18kg one on the 10kg spot). They even had to print messages telling people to re-rack on the correct rack for fucks sake.

this. same with the japanese. my friend says the Japanese always keep everything in order. They even have a sign up list for power racks and max time of 20 mins (not sure how I feel about that, but definitely Japanese-like)

That clutter is unreal. Other than an occasional set of dumbbells left out, people put things back. And my gym is $40/month, not in a good part of the city with a bunch of kids running around. /USA

GER too, fucking morons everywhere. I'll admit I go to the trashiest chain you can find, but the number of Untermenschen is inconceivable. Plates on the ground, no order or the weight trees, dumbbells scattered around the ENTIRE facility, and I swear someone around there steals the small plates to assemble a home gym.

Looks fucking gammlig.

The rundown back-alley "hardcore" aesthetic would kind of work if the guys there were strong

my gym used to be a mess until they started implementing a rule that you need to put it back where you got it, the whole "if you can lift it you can put it back" type deal, the first 2 months loads of guys were getting called out by staff about it infront of everyone including me lol

even the nonwhite northerner subhumans at my BR gym have etiquette, spanon, what the fuck mate

>8 5kg plates
What? WHY?

Funny how the non-central-europe guys are the most civilized :^)

>Military gym
>Usually if someone just tries to fuck off and leave shit out they get called out either by someone in the staff or a random guy
>Have seen more than one thot told to fuck off due to their revealing clothes
>Kids are thrown into a pen in a noise proofed room

Australia
I only really lift in the "heavy weight room" which has a few cages, a squat rack, 2 platforms, some heavy dumbells, and a bunch of bumper plates.
People are about 50/50 in putting back weights, it's usually the ones deadlifting 2 plate or half repping 1 plate bench in the cage that don't bother to put weights back.
There's no real order to how people put them back, people just shove them wherever they will go.
No one really cares though, it's nice when people put weights away, but no one has a cry if weights are left on bars.
