Has the gym doctor prescribed you anything yet? Ask to book an appointment with the receptionist right away. He'll know what strain on MRSA is commonly found on your gym equipment

Op here, I was using bad form on cleans and snatches so my shins got torn for the bar, I had showerd before the gym so I may have washed off any benificial bacteria, so I created the perfect environment for the bacteria to cultivate. Just make sure to shower after the gym not before.

You don't catch dem shits by being clean beforehand. It's actually better to wash yourself like at least twice a day so when you do get a scratch etc, you don't immediately win the shit-lottery. Lots of microbes live on you 24/7, even mrsa occasionally, but they do very little if your immune system is in check and you don't rub your broken skin on door knobs. You get them by being in contact with contaminated surfaces and such. It's treatable and there's no need to panic. And the other thing, I do recommend flip-flops in public showers or just not going to public showers at all.
