I do intermittent fasting lol but it does teach you discipline and helps build insulin resistance. If you time meals right and lift after you don’t lose any if not as much muscle mass

I've been intermittent fasting for about a month now and it's definitely doing something for me. It's built a tolerance for feeling hungry and I definitely have been leaning more towards healthier food options. I also sleep better, wake up earlier, and have noticibly more energy throughout the day. I don't even take caffeine anymore. The pump has also felt more meaningful during workouts. Just don't forget to eat
Ive heard that when you are fasting your body naturally tells you when to start eating by making you hungry again

Pushups, aim for multiple sets throughout the day, 100 pushups only burn like 20 calories so maybe do 1 set every hour

As long as you don't care about muscle loss that should be fine. However I would work my way up to it, probably not something you want to just jump into. It can be stressful and takes some getting used to.
if you fasting helps you eat less calories in total during the course of a day than without, then yes, it will help you lose weight. the effects of growth hormone or insulin resistance or whatever bullshit are small and unimportant.
it is merely a meal timing pattern. it works for me when cutting, after a few days 16/8 fasting my hunger during fasting is dull, basically not there. if I eat normally and break my fast early, I find it much harder to resist hunger as the day goes on.
