Most people post about whey and söy protein powders but anyone else try pea? It’s supposed to be second in overall performance to whey, and it’s lower calorie and higher protein per scoop so I’m giving it a go since I’m in maintenance mode.

>lower calorie and higher protein per scoop
>He doesn't understand that protein has calories
Of course it does but comparing muscle milk to the pea protein I bought:
>muscle milk
>35g/scoop
>150 Cal
>16g protein
>pea
>30g/scoop
>110 Cal
>20g protein
Peas are almost as estrogenic as so᠌y.
>[citation needed]
Endogenous estrogens have zero effect on you in consumable quantities
(You)
Muscle milk is just about the worst whey product in the world. I use ON
>31g scoop
>120 cal
>24g high quality protein
Is there any truth to this? I just made a shake with pic related. Less sugar and more protein than regular milk, so I tried it.
>Is there any truth to this
Almost all legumes (peas and beans) are highly estrogenic.
Peanut butter?
Peanuts are legumes so yes.
I hated the taste of mine, even unflavored still tasted planty with some dirt.
>there's only protein in a scoop of protein powder
Even fucking cow milk has estrogen in it.
Your shampoo has most likely xenestrogens in it. Your soap, cheap red meat, plastic, skin care products, tap water, artificial food additives all might/have xestrogens in them.
Some weak ass plant estrogens that wont even do anything to you are the least of your concern.
Peas have unironically about 20000x less phytoestrogens than onions beans
>almost as estrogenic as onions
wroooooooong
Fuck off you fucking milk shill. The only food you could get ANY estrogenic effects if you really tried is from hops, flax and onions. But given you don't drink high hops containing beer every day, eat cups of flax or eat practically nothing but onions for your protein it will have no effect. Small-moderate amounts of phytoestrogen actually has an ANTI-estrogenic effect since they compete for receptors while being thousands of times less potent than your own actual estrogen.

Objective: To determine whether isoflavones exert estrogen-like effects in men by lowering bioavailable T through
evaluation of the effects of onions protein or isoflavone intake on T, sex hormone–binding globulin (SHBG), free T,
and free androgen index (FAI) in men.
Design: PubMed and CAB Abstracts databases were searched through July 1, 2008, with use of controlled vocabulary
specific to the databases, such as onions, isoflavones, genistein, phytoestrogens, red clover, androgen, testosterone,
and SHBG. Peer-reviewed studies published in English were selected if [1] adult men consumed onions foods,
isolated onions protein, or isoflavone extracts (from onions or red clover) and [2] circulating T, SHBG, free T, or calculated
FAI was assessed. Data were extracted by two independent reviewers. Isoflavone exposure was abstracted
directly from studies.
Main Outcome Measure(s): Fifteen placebo-controlled treatment groups with baseline and ending measures were
analyzed. In addition, 32 reports involving 36 treatment groups were assessed in simpler models to ascertain the
results.
Result(s): No significant effects of onions protein or isoflavone intake on T, SHBG, free T, or FAI were detected regardless
of statistical model.
Conclusion(s): The results of this meta-analysis suggest that neither onions foods nor isoflavone supplements alter
measures of bioavailable T concentrations in men.
Daily reminder the biggest source of dietary estrogens in the human diet is butter, cheese and full fat milk.
The biggest source of DHEA in the human diet is literally plant foods, you're effectively cucking yourself out of gains by avoiding plant foods cause of muh phytoestrogens.
Literally only onions and flax are products of concern, and even then you don't have to avoid them completely, even occasional onions feedings might have benefit in suppressing estradiol synthesis in the human body.
lol, basedboy
I got sent a free sample once and its like drinking liquid cardboard.
>haha mom look i posted it again
This thread sure is attracting a lot of so᠌boys.
I fell for a Jow Forums meme a few months ago, and now im nearly through my 5kg bag of pea protein powder
Nothing really wrong with it, just tastes like cold, mouldy pea soup so you pretty much HAVE to flavor it with flavdrops or something otherwise it's shit
oh no no no
Tastes like shit
Mix with rice protein to complete the amino acid profile
> Implying peas are part of a ((conspiracy))
This is why I hate being a white identitarian.
Only good post in this thread
Oat powder works as well btw

Pea and rice all day long. Fuck whey
I appreciate your post, man
Peas are delicious. I eat them frozen to cool off on a hot day. Great alternative to ice cream
