Adidas adipowers for bench, squat and everything really, and chuck taylors for deadlifts
These, no matter what. Yes I know they're running shoes. Whatever
romaeleos 3
bare feet
what are good shoes for lifting that don't look like a meme like this but look like normal sport shoes?
These Body Science shoes are dirt cheap and feel stable and good. Ive used em for a couple of months for OHPs now. I recommend.
At home I use clogs for squats, no joke.
Then Lejon Attack for running
I wear my do-wins for squat OHP and bench, I deadlift and pendaly row in my socks.
Honestly I wore my Combat Speeds from highschool to workout yesterday and I didn’t really feel a difference while squatting. I’ll wear them again on my next session to see how they are with deadlifts. I usually work out in all white EQT’s
Power perfect III's. Even wear them for diddys cause they help keep my fucked up ankle from pronating.
adidas powerlift 2
diddlys in socks
>Body Science
What a retarded name for a company... impossible to google for... could they have chosen a more generic set of terms than "Body Science"? Duh I know, well call our shoe company... The Shoe Company!
Ill see if I can help you
The company is Body Science, but they sell for MM Sports. mmsports.se
I think they only ship around Scandinavia
>Jow Forums-approved Adidas Gang
I have these 3.1s but I heard the 2s were also good
Is lifting barefoot truly a meme?
i got the black and gold version of these because they were 30% off.
Look a bit cheesy but they are really great shoes.
Are weightlifting shoes just wrestling shoes?
t.dummy
I just bought these for $50.
Socks while deadlifting is top. Don't know about other lifts
weightlifting shoes have an elevated heel and a sole that cant be compressed.
do a bodyweight squat with your feet flat on the ground, then do another with your ankles raised off the ground and you can kinda get the idea of what its like.
so cheating shoes? what are good lifting shoes without the cheating part?
allowing for more ROM is not cheating, enjoy your buttwink
chucks here.
I squat barefoot, it helps a lot
isn't that a huge sole or is it just outside and inside it's actually thin?
if you lack flexibility, changing the exercise to be able to do it is just cheating
unless you're east asian with proper hip socket morphology you most likely don't manage a full ATG high bar squat that doesn't have a buttwink without shoes
Whole shoe is thin as fuck, no arch support, not built to handle any sort of shearing. Like with sumo deadlift where your feet will be pushing outward a bit. They're made for skating and casual walking, not lifting.
it doesn't allow you to lift more weight, so it's not cheating. Better to learn good movement patterns with shoes than to do the movement wrong and let your body compensate otherwise, which leads to imbalances and injuries long-term
Nigger, I can't hit depth without lifted heels.
how is using your own feet unbalanced?
if you don't have the proper asian manlet body proportions that allow for the textbook atg form your ATG squat will be compromised, meaning that you should only squat to parallel without shoes.
Anyone tried these? Apparently they have very thin soles and are dirt cheap.
changing the exercise to a larger ROM (which makes it harder) isn't cheating. Cheating is using something to lift more weight than you could do without it - shoes just help you achieve a better form.
Birkenstocks with socks. Did it once as a joke but it lets the feet breathe enough to stay cool and the socks keep the sandal from soaking up all the sweat.
They also hold the foot in place from toe to heel, not just the heel.
>That guy who wears sandals at the gym
Implying that's worse than the 18 year old millennial who cares about the chad boomer's feet
I've got a pair of D-Maks.
Great pair for everything except squats, especially deadlifts
I bought Romaleos3 for the last black friday, spent 120€ instead of 200
My old Powerlift 2 were more durable, stable and cost only 80€
Yeah you done goofed.
IIRC Romaleos 3's tend to fall apart; you want a pair of 2's instead.
Squat + deadlift barefoot
Everything else I use unironically these
best wl shoes on the market no question, fuck the 3s
am curious about how the antas feel though
Are weightlifting shoes worth it? Squats always felt extremely uncomfortable to me and I was wondering if they would help with that.
metcon 3
>scientific testing to maximize efficiency is cheating
YAFU
just install hydraulic mechanisms on your joints, you'll be able to lift a million
Antas seem to be gaining popularity. I'd give them a try if my adipowers started feeling like they were starting to cave or fall apart.
I'd also look at the do-win weightlifting shoes and the sabo weightlifting shoes
been using these for a couple of years, very comfy for diddlies and squats
i wear my vibrams specifically for leg day cause "Muh you can't take youre shoes off in here sir." makes me sad cause i feel like i work so much harder bare foot. only for leg day though
i will admit that these look weird as fuck
barefoot master race
All star knock offs

So straps are cheating?
Chucks here as well
Reebok Nano 8's for all the lifts. They have a very hard sole which is very good for deadlifts.
I would like to get some squat shoes, preferably the Adidas Adipowers but I'm only squatting lmao2pl8 so I think I would look stupid..
I absolutely love these.
They're great, used by chinks in some obscure martial arts. I used to use them before I switched to thin leather soled wrestling shoes. These be the best, Sambo shoes. If you can find them.
been wearing chucks since i started, but ive been thinking about getting weightlifting shoes. just don't want to go too cheap on them and have them suck, or spend too much on a bad product.
>unless you're east asian with proper hip socket morphology
Can you expand on this?
+1 for powerlift 2 bois
yes, straps are cheating. oly shoes aren't. how can people be this retarded?
Dalmatian hip
my wife and I both wear powerlift 3s, but they're pretty bad for deadlifts due to the platform. Not undoable, just awkward getting heel drive
ayyyy I have those same shoes
>wearing oly shoes for deadlifts
Why?
mostly because I don't want to bring a gym bag in, and deadlifts are never a major focus.
Can still rep 375 in them so I'm sure it's fine.
not sure if i should be squatting in these but they definitely beat the soft cushy runners
it's unusual but doable
clarence diddlied 340 kg in oly shoes
