Can I live an interesting life as a neet? I was talking to a girl on discord recently and I had nothing to say when she asked what I do. I eat, sleep, masturbate, browse the internet, and that's really pretty much all I do.
Can I live an interesting life as a neet...
>interesting
>NEET
that just goes against the entire definition of a NEET bro
There's plenty of interesting NEETs. But I'm guessing you're not a creative type or someone who plays music or something of that nature.
yes. Getting an entry level job won't make you any more interesting other than giving you one line of dialogue saying that you wash dishes or stock shelves. You need a hobby/interest that doesn't involve a screen.
>You need a hobby/interest that doesn't involve a screen.
I planted some tomatoes this spring and they are coming in well. But I would hardly call it a hobby...
tell them you're into horticulture. You could even go deeper into it and explain you're into cooking with shit that you grow.
Of course you can have an interesting life as a NEET, perhaps more so than someoen who works. Look at Fisker or MMM, they're quite interesting.
>Fisker
Who? The guy who designed Mercedes cars and had his own car company later?
Am fem NEET, do the exact same thing bro, I don't know what to tell people when I try to talk to them on discord bc that's all I do too.
>fem NEET
You mean female neet?
Yeah, exactly. Prob gonna get kicked out soon though.
>tfw no femneet gf
What's your discord? Maybe we can talk about what we're not doing every day?
We live in an age where you can learn anything, create any kind of artwork (music/visual arts/writing/etc), and accomplish a great many goals entirely digitally.
You don't do anything because you're depressed or lack imagination, not because you're a NEET. Find some goal or endeavor you wish to pursue, and find a way to do it from your room.
user Senpai #3522
>inb4 /soc/
No, Jacob Fisker, the ERE guy
Stop talking about me user.
>tfw no hobbies
>no talent
>no gf
Since becoming NEET all I do is have existential breakdowns, stare creepily at people, and memorize commercial jingles
Maybe someone with more base willpower than me would be able to develop hobbies but ultimately I think the neet lifestyle turns everyone into the most boring variety of hedonist
Life was more interesting when I was a NEET.
Now I just work and go home.
Yes, there's plenty of options you can choose from that will make you "interesting". Sports, writing music/stories, playing instruments, knowing different languages, reading books, painting, drawing .etc
There's a lot of things you can do as a NEET. and wasting your precious time you have on this Earth shitposting about traps, tendies, and Anime waifus will just trap you into nothing but a hive mind.
Yeah it's called get up and actually fucking do something. Just because you're a NEET doesn't mean you have to sit in your room all day. Unless you're in the middle of fucking nowhere with no transportation or have people stopping you from getting out of the house you have no fucking excuse.
This.
I will admit, when I was a neet I fucking sat and did nothing for 6 months and just talked to people on discord all day but I was partly being held at home against my will. Doesn't mean it's not possible though
user, can i add you too? itd be nice to connect with other neets
On paper a lot of "life of crime" sorts are technically NEET.
You can be interesting but not for good reasons
You can be a freakshow, I ha EA a read stories here from people who live lives that are insane
Honestly if you don't do anything and never go anywhere what exactly are people supposed to find interesting about you
I don't get how people like to do anything
Sure being a neet can get boring but having to put effort in anything makes me want to gorge my eyes out desu
Interesting stories come from outside your comfort zone.
Help me neets, how do I meet women on discord? Where do I find them
threads and servers also don't bother because most girls, even from Jow Forums are either attention seeking whores or not interested in e-relationships and will see right through you
I thought neets played piano, wrote novels, hiked every day, etc. Because of all the free time you had
Read books and get into philosophy
When you have free time, you don't have friends. Without friends, you get depressed.
You're boring because you're boring. Being a NEET doesn't necessitate being boring but it's strongly correlated.
Weaponize your autism like I did and find something to specialize in. Been looking up unsolved crimes in my local area and seeing if I can piece anything together. Started my own database of criminal profiles with 20 different characteristics along with crimes based on public info from local police stations, prisons, and courts. Going to start using k-mean clustering algorithms in machine learning to identify patterns and maybe find some links. Would be nice if I had other anons to help me work on doing the same for other states and increase our scope.
You can meet them in threads on boards too, or servers
>and will see right through you
What did you mean by this user?
That's amazing user, but I live in Europe and I don't really have access to any local crime database.
I'm a NEET. I love driving around locally and always finding new things to do. Go to a park or nature trail. You often have the whole place to yourself. It's like rediscovering the old untamed wilderness.
dropped your image, boomboy
This is the best post I've seen on this board in a long time. Tfw not in the US so can't join in on this autism. God speed, lad. Also, if you start getting anywhere tangible you really should apply to the bureau or state police or something. You might have no work experience or relevant qualifications but I used to be involved in the hiring process for a department in a large firm and enthusiasm and practical experience is really highly valued. It was somewhat common to select an applicant with a huge portfolio and obvious passion for the work with little to tertiary education over someone with work experience and a masters.
user please talk more about this. I read about unresolved mysteries often but usually the big cases. I'm mad curious about how you go about your investigations in detail. This is some superior autism
It's possible to find some interesting hobbies. But 95% of NEETs wont do it because they are lazy as fuck, which is why they are NEETs in the first place
Hello fellow FIRE enthusiast.
I'm NEET because I prefer escapism to anything else and will go out of my way to escape dystopia. Imagination and adventures are better than drudgery surrounded by people who hate you.
I'm practically NEET though, for around 2 more months at least.
You'll need a hobby you give a shit about, I think?
I can say I am a freelancing illustrator and currently learning how to do 3d modelling in the context of using 3d printers
Just make up shit.
That's ok, I'd value any help I could get desu. You could quite easily access my state and city information since it's all digital but better to play it safe since international regulations and all. Come to think of it, I'm hoping my project won't be affected my GDPR.
Thanks for the tip I'll take it into consideration especially since like you said if I happen upon anything tangible and of value, I could easily then create an API for whoever picks me up and start automating all of this at scale. At the moment it's all very manually intensiveb data entry and cleaning for the most part.
I'm avoiding deaths for now since I'm not expecting to catch zodiac and I still need to refine the algorithms. I've been tuning into several local police scanner frequencies for some years now and noticed a severe uptick in home robberies. I don't have much to my name but what I do have I care very much about and don't want anyone taking for fear of exposing my hentai and figmas so I started getting curious about exactly how close I was to the radius of these events. There's a lot of information about suspects that you hear that gets left out of the actual police reports which them before digital and publicly available so I try and follow from chase to apprehension and booking as much as possible, especially since hearing the actual street locations helps so much for more accuracy. The data I'm collecting includes PII, crime, severity, repeat offender or not, accomplices, method of breaking and entering or theft, things reportedly taken, time of day, day of week, witnesses, etc. Over the last 2 years I've entered about 2800 rows of data with some pretty clear patterns for certain individuals going back 10 years based on available data. Really only started ramping up the last 2 months when I started learning about AI and I want to expand to include things like sexual offenders but that's totally outside the scope of what I can manage right now.
If you're interested in leaving the NEET life, I'd be very interested in looking to hire you user.
I work for my city's police department as a Database Admin and we're about to transition to the cloud over the next 3 months. What you're doing is exactly what we were hoping to implement. I have a lot of pull here and could get you an interview if you're interested in being a Jr. DBA with a potential starting salary of $70k. Feel free to drop email or discord. I'd love to just pick your brain in general if nothing else.
>lot of information about suspects that you hear that gets left out of the actual police reports which them before digital and publicly available so I try and follow from chase to apprehension and booking
Wouldn't it be classified info? How do you get access without spending $$$? All I find are news reports. I'm not American so the arrest databases aren't available. There's been a suspicious death in my area a while back and I've been curious for a while but no info available. No suspects, no motive, not even the guy's name. Just senior falls into river, suspicious death and investigation ongoing, no updates since.
>AI
If not a bother, how do you get into it and use it for your purposes? I thought running AI was only possible with some harvard tier knowledge lel
START A DISCORD. i want in on this
>NEET
>for only 2 months
nah you're just a summerfag
welp, there's this thing called holiday you NEETs forgot exist
bbummpperino0
Pick up hearthstone desu, you play for like a day or two, make a f2p deck, grind out an actual deck, and try going for world champion. Try writing a novel as well.
