Why is fast food unhealthy? As long as you're getting enough fiber and vitamins through supplements or other foods and not overeating I don't see why.
Why is fast food unhealthy...
Other urls found in this thread:
1. meat is bad for you
2. fat is bad for you
3. cheese is bad for you
4. salt is bad for you
don't forget white bread
If you cant fast food and feel good then fine thats up to you, but I always crash after eating it. Theres literally carcinogens in deep fried stuff so good luck with that.
none of those things are inherently bad. hope this is a shit post
Fuck off vegan. Enjoy the you.
Honestly high sodium and trans fats.
Once in awhile isn't bad. People need a scape goat for their bad choices.
>in n out burger
carbs are simple and low quality, but I suppose you can fiber/vitamin supplement.
protein is decent
fat is waaaay too high.
sodium is waaaay too high.
no micros, but again, vitamins I guess.
In general? it's fine but not optimized. Soda is the real menace.
Yes, bread is good for you (whole, normal bread) but the white bread created today is bad for you. good call.
>not inherently bad
yes they are, read some nutrition studies. Animal products are the sole cause of atherosclerosis and leading cause of heart disease. It's impossible (par genetics) to get atherosclerosis/heart disease while not eating animal products. Salt increased blood pressure and linked these.
Just following what a human is meant to eat
problems with fast food:
vegetable/seed oils are very inflammatory
the salt used is typically bad quality salts with anti caking agents and shit
the picture shows American cheese product which is more chemical than food
the meat is typically poorly sourced, not grass fed
Bread is bad
HOWEVER:
If you were to make it yourself with fresh and good ingredients, it would be much better for you, almost healthy
I'm not vegan and I agree with him and Nothing in a fast food meal is healthy, even the lettuce is old and wilted.
Meat isn't healthy mate.
it is
Fuck off you literal soi fag
It is, but a very vicious one.
agree
meat is not healthy, no matter how much you type on a anime forum spouting it is, the studies and information avaialable says otherwise
So when did vegans take over Jow Forums?
I fucking hate this board
its just epic trolling
why is it that the best food is so unhealthy? it's so delicious
its not
It's not. If you want to eat unhealthy shit that's your business but don't delude yourself into think it's anything else.
>heh... i used the meme again
I'd rather vegans flood the board than Jow Forums losers. Christ, even ponyfuckers wouldn't be as bad as Jow Forums
>everything I don't like is trolling
Your body has an evolutionary response when consuming high calorie fatty foods because it's worried about when the next meal might come. It actively encourages you to eat crappy, overly-processed foods because of this and because the recipes are deliberately designed to exploit this response.
>Soda is the real menace
why can't they just remove the bad stuff. everyone will be happy and we will all eat burgers forever
Saturated fat is part of the bad stuff. Cholesterol is part of the bad stuff. The sugar in the sauce and the bun is the bad stuff. You can't remove these elements, they're intrinsic to the food and it's subconsciously why you like it so much, you've been conditioned to find it enjoyable.
If you want to optimise your health you have to follow a whole food, plant based diet. You'll basically be stuck eating at home.
youtube.com
watch this you utter brainlet
>watch this youtube video
No. If he cites studies then link them, if not come back with studies.
>watch this you utter brainlet
>posts 1 youtube video
actually in-n-out uses pretty high quality ingredients
as far as fast food goes, at least
he cites lots of studies but I'm at work so can't watch the video myself to get them
in and out absolutely based
one video is the starting point, from there the implications cascade down
Fine, I'll click it but if they aren't in the description and then video is over 10 minutes long I'm not watching it. I only came in to talk, not to get into a study posting war. Trying to play Fifa
I don't care if you want to learn anything new or not, just stop your brainlet tier posting and we'd all be better for it
VEGAN THREAD, ABORT
>if you want to learn anything
He's probably using the same bullshit studies or misrepresenting outcomes to push a narrative he likes. Clicking on the video reveals he's a low carb proponent which instantly puts him in the trash. It's one thing to propose that cholesterol, fat and meat aren't unhealthy but it's another to push this position in conjunction with low carb retardation. The first comment alone points out that part of his presentation does not line up with the study cited.
Post studies or fuck off.
anyone heard about that guy who hasnt gone without a big mac every day in like 30 years?
hes in perfect health
>well he's not dead yet so he's in PERFECT HEALTH
Well I'm convinced.
It's bad because a lot of items are geared towards getting you eating too much.
They're generally empty calories. Until very recently tons of hydrogenated oils.So eating too much and replacing vegetables and other nutritious stuff with junk is bad.
If you otherwise eat well, you can definitely have a 560 calorie Big Mac every now and again or similar without issue.
Meat and fat is not bad for you...
Just remove the bun, fries, soda, and dips and you're good to go
It is though.
t. ketard
Everything about fast food is unhealthy. Period.
If you eat a meal of it, and that meal is a significant part of your TDEE, then you havn't gotten enough fiber and nutrients for that day.
If you want to have it for your "cheat meal" once in awhile, fine, but if you still crave that type of food more than likely you're eating too much of it, and youve yet again wasted a "cheat meal" on a meal that could have been much better if you'd ate at a nice restaurant or cooked it yourself.
Then theres the fact that fast food is literally cancer. No seriously, numerous studies have found men eating high diet of deep fried foods have a higher risk of developing prostate cancer. The high sodium, fat, sugar content contrasted with the low content of fiber, protein and helpful vitamins and minerals of is also a recipe for cancer. Then theres the fact that acrylamide is literally a carcinogen found in deep fried foods. Theres no conclusive evidence that theres enough of it to directly cause cancer, but its there.
So its pretty fuckin simple when it comes down to it.
Wanna get cancer? Eat some fast food.
Don't want cancer? Eat other stuff. It doesn't even have to be super healthy stuff, but anything not eaten at a fast food restaurant is guaranteed to be healthier.
Wanna die early? Go eat some fast food 2 or 3 times a week.
Wanna live a decently long healthy existence? Don't eat the stupid hamburgers in the yellow wrapping paper.
Do what YOU want to do OP.
>it’s impossible to get heart disease while not eating animal products
What's with all the anti meat fags ITT?
At least be honest and make a more specific claim like "corn fed grilled hamburger is bad for you." When you make a blanket statement like "meat is bad for you" it just makes you look stupid. How are we supposed to take you seriously when shit like smoked salmon and baked free-range chicken exists?
Flesh eaters still can't explain how they can't compete with vegan athletes. We are so much more healthier and vital. fuck off flesh cucks
All of those are bad you dumb meatnigger
who are the current vegan athletes topping the world? Name them please.
>yes they are, read some nutrition studies. Animal products are the sole cause of atherosclerosis and leading cause of heart disease. It's impossible (par genetics) to get atherosclerosis/heart disease while not eating animal products. Salt increased blood pressure and linked these.
American education - the post.
It's not.
fast food in particular lacks nutritional value, what they say on the labels is not really accurate and the amount of excess garbage and corners cut as fast food places to save money has an impact on your health. If you really want a fucking burger so badly make it at home, do it yourself by hand then its not really an issue anymore
only bitchmade kale males think this
I don't believe that. I think you're just trolling.
How can all meat be bad?
They're the vocal minority still. They just love to believe their bullshit and rationalise their misguided diet with their studies and Micheal greger vids. Been getting worse this past year.
Fortunately the pro meat threads have been gaining some traction recently, so least people on the fence can read about both options.
>cholesterol
>SFA
>HCA
>heme iron
>phthalates
>lack of nutrients vis a vis whole plant foods
And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head.
>f-fucking assholes and their facts
>let me have my feels and meat
Instead of being a nigger, you should research where he is coming from. I am not a vegan and I agree with him just like that other guy.
>the salt used is typically bad quality salts with anti caking agents and shit
what the fuck, user
Not only are you implying that the miniscule amount of sodium ferrycyanide has any impact on quality, but also that "fast food salt" is any different from that used at home.
>the meat is typically poorly sourced, not grass fed
Why is the choice of feed important?
