You need to get over the feeling that anyone cares about what you're doing. Trust me, 99.9% of guys are there to do their thing and get out. The only time people will interact with you is to help you if it looks like you don't know whats going on. If you spot someone looking at you, it's probably because they are resting after their set and are just glancing around anyway.

Alliteratively you could save up for some home gym equipment. A bar, bench, plates and a rack are all you need right now.

Ok jokes aside. What you need to do is ease into your new and intimidating enviroment. Just do stuff you feel comfortable with.. cardio whatever. Then when your confidence grows a bit (and it will) do squats first at odd hours when the gym is empty, then progress as you will. Trust me, it will get easier and you wont care about other people.

What are your goals, OP? Lost weight? Build muscle? Like, do you want to go /fridgemode/, or just build a bigger butt? How many days a week are you willing to go? How hard are you willing to push yourself? The answers to all these questions determine what you should be doing.

Some basic advice if you want to get into lifting weights, though: look up stronglifts 5x5. Watch all the videos about how to do all the lifts, then download that app and do the lifts. After like 2 months probably you will no longer be able to add weight at the pace the app wants you to. Add some cardio in then, and look up good isolation exercises for the areas that you are unhappy with. Then just add weight to your compounds whenever you feel like while adding more cardio and more assistance exercises. Maybe change up your rep/set schemes on your compounds too.

i know how you feel but the solution for this is simple. You need to go to the gym with a goal in mind, you need to write down everything/note in phone every exercise you want to do (sets and reps all that). You need to go prepared bruh. You can practice form at home alone too if you feel ashamed of not doing something right.
Look up on youtube how to do those exercises.
When you go to the gym you need to have your plan ready. You didnt go to the gym for socializing or picking up girls, you are there for yourself so dont give a fuck.
And dont be scared to ask the people for help on form or advice. You look around in the gym for some older dude thats massive, usually they are the friendliest people and they will help you, but dont get on their nerves.
