I have about 100 lbs to lose, and I have a 47.5” waist. My plan is to get a 31 inch waist; however, I’m a little worried about loose skin. I’m young, only 22, but still.
If I manage to lose this weight in my timeframe set, I’ll earn $2,500. I’m thinking this is enough for surgery to remove any excess skin around my gut (all my excess fat is abdominal). What do you think? Will I have loose skin? If so, is $2.5k enough for surgery?
My brother went from 375lbs to 200lbs this past 24 months.
He just got quoted around at a total of $65,000 for 4 different operations.
This is in Austraila.

Oh Fuck. I was looking up prices for tummy tucks (taking loose skin off the stomach), and they were saying only $4.5k on average.
Does he have loose skin all over his body?
Matthew Sullivan
>If so, is $2.5k enough for surgery? Midwesterner here. I went to a plastic surgeon with this question and got quoted for an $8000 mini abdominoplasty (the mini only gets the stuff below the belly button), or $10000 for a full.
I've heard pretty good things about flying to South America and getting surgery in Brazil or something for way, way cheaper, even counting for the flight + hotel stay. You could look into that. Based on their trannies I think their surgeons are pretty good
Brandon Cox
>based on their trannies
lmao
Noah Williams
>tfw lost 130 lbs >tfw almost no loose skin imma wait some years and see if it might stretch back just a little, if it does people wont even be able to tell
Julian Reyes
how about lose it first then cross that bridge if you can waddle your way to it
Daniel Perry
$2,500 is maybe enough to pay for the anesthesia. This shit costs several thousand dollars if you're paying out of pocket.

age?
Isaac Phillips
Just fast. Your body will scavenge the proteins in your skin to convert to glucose, so you'll have less skin as you lose weight. You can do one meal a day, or alternate day fasting, whatever. Also lift weights.
Isaiah Martinez
100 lbs is no big deal at 22 years of age. But you need to MAKE SURE you lift while losing, or you'll look like shit.
Owen Phillips
same situation, i was 19 when i lost the weight, am 20 now, it is starting to tighten up
Connor Ramirez
23 but im losing since 18, you can only tell i have a little bit of loose skin if i go into a plank position or sit in a very weird way
Henry Turner
>if i go into a plank position I'm also a former fatass and this is actually the worst. I look totally normal while standing but I have a ton of loose skin when I plank... it makes me very self-conscious during sex. How do you deal with it?
Jace Hernandez
I’m a veteran lifter. I’ve been lifting since I was 16, and bench, overhead press, squat, and deadlift are 305, 210, 395, and 455, respectively. Should that help with loose skin?
Blake Rodriguez
>it makes me very self-conscious during sex i dont have sex dummie lol
Jason Rogers
but even on a plank position mine is not a whole lot so you tell me do girls care
Leo Johnson
I've had sex a few times since losing all that weight and only one woman commented, saying "Your body is covered with art", referring to stretch marks, then we proceeded to sleep together. seems they don't really care.
Josiah Rogers
>Your body is covered with art" women are so fucking dumb
Bentley Parker
thats good news to be fair you cant even really see my stretch marks, i guess im pretty lucky skinwise just hoping for a little bit more thightness on these next few months, specially now that i im losing the last bits of body fat
Carson Russell
That's the surgeons fee.
What about the anesthesiologist? ($800+ per hour)
What about the hospital fee? (Biggest one by far)
What about any equipment fees?
Dylan Stewart
Not saying that I wouldn't smash, but let's just say if I heard a girl say some shit like "your body is covered in art" and I'm not tattooed like the ceiling of the Sistine chapel it'd be *snap* going into my mental wince repository.
For some reason nobody understands how this works so Im gonna post some pics and explain this shit.
Someone like pic related, no matter how young they are, and no matter how slowly they loose the weight will end up with saggy loose skin because of the way his skin has stretched according to his unfortunate fat distribution. 1/2
However in this picture, although equally obese, will probably not have loose skin in his chest because it has not stretched to unreasonable lengths. Although, he will probably have loose skin on his stomach
So, final point is, use your judgement. If your stomach hangs inches away from your waist, you will probably have a bit of loose skin there and if your chest can be grabbed and flapped like the first picture you will probably have loose skin there.
