Is the snatch grip deadlift as good as the back or front squat to build and strenghten the quads

is the snatch grip deadlift as good as the back or front squat to build and strenghten the quads

i dont have a power rack to squat and i workout at home

Deficit hex bar squat

i dont have the hax bar squat

but i can try deficit snatch grip deadlifts, o they have the same effect ?

No. Deadlift variations are primarily hip extension movements, and focus on the glutes, hamstrings, and spinal erectors.

Clean the bar and do higher rep front squats for your quads. Or get a squat stand, or some tall saw horses.

No, learn how to clean the bar to front squat

snatch grip is going to be best for lower back and rhomboids mostly, reference: hinge movment vs leg movement spectrum i.e squats on one side vs good mornins on the other, snatch grip is much closer to the good morning than squat therefore not doing much good for quads, the wide grips adds to the movements by involving the rhomboids. also note your going to want to use wrist wraps/straps to grip the bar because it will put a lot of strain on your shit witout them and you wont be able to work until fatigue. great exercise

i cant clean it because of my poor as fuck mobolity, but i think doing high pulls jumps will help my quads

front squat is easily best for quads of all the squat movements
you dont need a rack to squat, you should be squatting to full depth. if you need to dump it, just dump it off your back
trap bar deadlifts are the highest level of efficiency
i dont squat any more at all
snatch grip deadlift is pretty much a meme. zero benefit over traditional lifts with more injury risk. it's a stupid movement and i'd never recommend it

thanks, do you think heavy dealifts with a jump in the final portion of the lift will healp the quads ? like if i tried to clean it

Then work on your mobility. If you want to build your quads, you need to do something with lots of knee extension under a load. High pulls and jumps aren't going to do jack shit for your quads.

You gotta have a solid foundation before you build the house.

i cant clean anything over 200 lbs because its painfull as fuck to my wrists, and my poor mobility doesnt help,

i will stop snatch grip deadlifts right now then, but i need some move for my quads, high pulls could be ?

evolved being here, adding to my last post, quads i mean you should just narrow stance back squat with oly shoes (ive never gone back to chucks since buying them for any squats/oly movmenets) trains quads plenty plus overall strength. i only do front sqauts (which is even more emphasis on qauds) to train form for clean and jerk, the movement is harder on the joints than the back squat and i believe inferior for muscle building because form breakdown will limit how much volume/failure you can train, i can get pretty sloppy on backsquat adn force reps, especiall with a belt if going heavy. most oly lifters will agree on this, although klovkov does mostly frontsquat

already tried but cant, i can deadlift 550 pounds and can do high cleans or high pulls whatever they are called by using only my legs with 200 lbs for reps, aiming to get it for 300 lbs

also front squats are uncomfy as fuck to my body structure

i dont have a power rack to do that

is this a troll? no dont do that, you should be able to safely clean the weight, but cleans are not really a hypertrophy movement its power and technique your not going to add mass with that movement. personally i do backsquats ( a lot) some frontsquats, i deadlift maybe once a week or 2, and i practice snatch at least 3 or 4 times per week

Have you heard about BEHIND THE BACK DEADLIFTS, You fucking faggot?

i cant clean it because it makes my wrist hurt, even with relative light weight, i dont want mass at all, i want power, and a higer vertical jump

dont even do these movements, then
why would you even do them????
just subject the muscle to stress and eat when you're hungry and you're done as a natural athlete

are you competing in a strength sport?

>i can deadlift 550 pounds
Yet your lifting knowledge is rudimentary....

yeah but are they good for quads or a meme ?

no, i just want power for verticals

im learning everyday

Just sprint, lose weight, and jump a lot. That will do more for your vert than high pulls.

Worked for me, I would test them in your position since you don't have a power rack

ok i will try it

i used to sprint and jump a lot, but i saw more rapid progression when i started with high pulls and jumping resistance

the problem with my vertical is it fluctuates a lot, once i managed to jump almost 30 inches, but i usually i jump between 28-29 inches max, i want to get a 40 inches vertical more than a 800 lbs dealift lol, lifting heavy is a lot more easy than being fast/explosive

They hit the quads and strong quads are necessary to hit high numbers, but they're not going to meaningfully build quads beyond a certain point due to bar positioning in front of the body. Your quads are never going to be the limiting factor, or a limiting factor at all. Your back or glutes will invariably fail first, and if not you're looking at serious strength imbalances.

If you must do a floor pull, do hack squats.

i think the lower back will be a more limiting factor than the glutes, glutes are always stronger than the quads, anyways i will try it

I mean you can speculate all you want lad, but you are clearly not very well informed. Hack squats are a quad dominant exercise and you'll learn this the instant you complete your first rep.

ok man thanks for all, my waifu sends you a kiss

whats your back squat to hack squat ratio ?
