Its summer and my shirts get drenched in sweat now more than ever.

I noticed some shirts smell great after i wash them and until i wear them.

As soon as i sweat a little in the shirt it starts to smell worse and worse.

This doesnt happen with new t-shorts. New t-shirts seem to just get wet and dont realy smell.

So its like my older shirts accumulated some smell prticles and i am not able to wash them out.

You guys got any tips how to counter this or do i have to throw out one of my favorite tshirts cause its at a point of no return?

increase your salt buy only 100% cotton clothes and use anti transpirant deodorant will kill most of the smell

My body odor is not the problem. Its the clothes that smells but only after it gets wet from sweat. Its like a sweat smell amplifier.

When i wear newer clothes or things i never worked out in theres no smell ever even if i am sweating hard.

polyester makes you sweat more also retains sweat better making it smell

I went to check todays shirt and the tag has actually washed out or maybe tore from the hundreds of squat sets and the barbell on top of it so i cant confirm the material.

I dont mind throwing shirts out and buying new ones from time to time. Its just this shirt has some nostalgia attached to it.

Just checked white and black are both 95% cotton 5% elastane but only black smells like few days old piss while white doesnt smell at all.

My shirt was 100% cotton.

Its just a unique property of the material i guess.

Wish there was something to do about it but i guess its time to buy a few new shirts and replace the old ones.

Probably your diet since certain foods affect smell but also just because you wash clothes, doesn’t mean you kill the bacteria that causes the smell. Try washing at a much higher temp.

My lifts are 145/83/140 and I can't seem to progress on my deadlifts. Even at 145 I can't even get it off the ground. I pull conventional. Do I need more volume or just be more patient off the floor? I'm scared that my back will end up in a compromising position if I just keep pulling without moving the bar

140 flies off the ground. Basically RPE8 and my back stays extended throughout the lift. My knees and hips rise at the same time. At 145 I can't even get the bar off the floor.

RPE 8 is opening lift tier in terms of difficulty.

You're using the cardio definitions of RPE (easily spotted because it's talking about holding a fucking conversation during the exercise), not the lifting one. RPE 8, assuming it's used right, would be 2 reps in the tank or about a single at 90%ish.

Which clearly isn't the case here but that's the idea.

What do you think about conjugate style these days? Been thinking about giving it a go as I'm tired of high specificity training. Can I keep squat variations as the main max effort exercise (i.e. 1x2-4) and deadlift variations as the secondary exercise (4x6)?

He means don't make your max effort variations too crazy. SSB squats in place of squats, instead of reverse band weight drop off box squats.

Less experienced lifters don't have to rotate max effort exercises as often. So you could do SSB squats 2 or 3 weeks in a row without getting too beat up.

Yeah, id also advise having one day of variation and one day of the comp lifts a week, like you said, push the variation for as many weeks as you can
