Is it just me or did culture start sucking massive ass when gen z came into the picture?

Gen X: Is it just me or did culture start sucking massive ass when gen y came into the picture?

Silent Generation: Is it just me or did culture start sucking massive ass when the Baby Boomers came into the picture?
When cartoons went from hand-drawn to computer generated in the early 2000s it was a real shame.
You do realize that Millenials were in charge of creating pop culture when Gen z came around right?
>my face when gen y
>my face when gen z faggots will never know that feeling when coming home after school to watch the newest rurouni kenshin episode and playing tony hawk pro skate on the n64
>my face when gen z will never live in a world where music actually had some variety and wasnt just lil nigglers new mixtape on soundcloud or some stupid shit
yes, its why the true hero of the story is gen x
pic related.
gen x
1996~2001 and 2001~2006 are the only good periods in that picture
>early gen z
>grew up with a lot of core and late gen y stuff
>dont care for most gen z stuff because of it
whats wrong with me robots
>1996~2001 and 2001~2006 are the only good periods in that picture
This
>you will never come home from school to watch old episodes of cat dog or check out the newest malcom in the middle episode
>you will neveragain experience a time when brendan fraser was actually still cool and un-JUSTed
>you will never think bionicle is the coolest shit
everything about gen z culture on that pic just seems so flat and bland to me.
I am biased because i am gen y but the gen y stuff look like everything at its absolute fucking kino peak. from anime, video games, tv shows, cartoons, and at least music was still good in the early 90's
rip kurt
>parents went to some party
>stayed at home watching sailor moon, gundam wing, inuyasha and yu yu hakusho on toonami all night long
one of the best memories of my childhood
According to this picture, I'm late Gen Y. But I don't remember 9/11 because I was 4.
> music expired in the mid 90s
> wrestling expired in mid 00s
> movies expired in early 00s
> broadcast tv expired in the late 90s
> vidya expired in the early 10s
> internet expired with web 2.0
> most sports expired in the late 90s
> culture is less white
> more multicultural 'urban' LCD crap
>culture is apparently a bunch of cartoons and tv shows
lol
Pop culture is
Zoomers should die in fire.
t. boomer
Yeah the toddlers destroyed our culture! Millenials were near perfect but those god damned kids had to come and ruin it all!!!! You are a piece of fucking shit
boomers > xoomers >>> zoomers > MooMers
t. xoomer
Is it just me or is it that anyone not born in the u.s as early gen z was exposed more to core/late gen y stuff and is thus less like gen z?
>my face when gen z will never EVERRRRRRRR go to target to buy ocarina of time on the first day and then go home to watch wwe attitude era while sipping a Crystal pepsi in your invader zim shirt you bought from hot topic
all of that happend at the same time and you cant dispute it
12 year olds are controlling the pop charts now. The music industry owners base what they play on the radio on what the 12 year olds like.
Gen X was because they owned the music companies that put out the talentless.
How is Blartposting considered an early Gen Z (2006-2010) thing? It came into existence in the mid-to-late 2010's. Also that picture pretyt much only applies to the US of A, since most TV shows and cultural trends came into Europe atleast 2-3 years late
Pretty much this.
Even though this show was ugly and i didnt like it much, the theme.song makes me all wistful and somber and is quintessentially Core/Late Gen Y.
That's just when you outgrew the culture dude. Older people than you looked at the Millennial stuff like Yugioh, Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon ball z, Rocket power, Fairly oddparents, Spongebob, etc and thought it was garbage compared to the Gen X days of He Man and Thundercats.
> music expired in the mid 90s
I see a lot of new music being released. It's mostly in the internet, but that does not mean it expired.
> wrestling expired in mid 00s
I do no watch wrestling.
> movies expired in early 00s
They just released new Star Wars movie.
> broadcast tv expired in the late 90s
We still had no national tv services in the internet in mid 00's.
> vidya expired in the early 10s
Have no idea, I'm of gen X
> internet expired with web 2.0
We are posting in the internet, are we?
> most sports expired in the late 90s
Sports are boring.
> culture is less white
That is true.
> more multicultural 'urban' LCD crap
Have to check Google for "LCD"
>Had major surgery as a kid
>Watched teen titans and some other shit I don't remember all night in the hospital on toonami
>Hardly remember it since opioid painkillers
My favorite number one as a small kid.
youtube.com
How dare you ignore 89-96
>inb4 somebody brings up that segregating people into distinct groups that assume many traits about an individual is idiotic as generational development is a continuum, and this only serves to further divide our already broken up world
that chart is fucked
>Born in 88
> I watched reruns
I saw inspector gadget, tmnt, he-man, tmnt, and all the nintendo animated series as reruns.
>Dad had an nes before I was born
I played all the NES shit during the snes area along with the snes games
>torrents
I saw yuyu hakushow, and naruto around 2003 or so
>Never lost interest
Played yugioh till I was 17
All in all that chart is fuckled
>blaming the youngest generations for society's problems
>not the people who are actually fucking adults and control the media at that time period
Its social media's fault and youre all stupid for not realizing that. we used to have boarders and boundaries now everything is mishmashed together no matter the quality
There are lots of computer drawn ones that are actually pretty good, desu.
Born in 1997 here, still had half of shit from Gen Y and even saw some of Gen X stuff, because I live in the 3rd country.
millennial peak culture influence was 2001-2006
(the best years on the internet)
Yeah, but the adults produced what the kids liked...
>mainstream culture is entirely encapsulated by entertainment
Nah you millennials and boomers ruined the West. Us Gen Z:ers are fixing it. We're more conservative than you
>mfw also gen y
>mfw gen z cunts will never know the feeling of playing 007 nightfire at a friend's house after school
>mfw gen z cunts will never be able to watch toonami (it was cancelled in the UK long ago)
