Your body's main process of burning calories is temperature control. The Human body is most adapted to warm and hot weather than cool, so it does way less work in the summer

Cutting in the winter means that you maximize when the body is doing the most work; keeping you warm. The summer is good for bulking because it means you have more control over how much you gain, and you never get short-sided after eating 3000 cals

Leucine spiking multiple times throughout the day (ie: multiple protein servings) are the best way to retain muscle and use fat as energy source.

The more leucine spikes you have throughout the day the better your nutrient partitioning is with the energy that is taken from your body to be used as energy when in a calorie deficit.

The end result is the person who had 1000s of leucine spikes throughout 3-4 month diet is going to retain far more muscle mass than a guy who only has 1 per day. Yes the total bodyweight will be identical if the same calories are used, but the body-composition wont be the same, the fasted guy will have less muscle and more bodyfat, where as the non fasted guy will have more muscle and less bodyfat, all both weighing the same.

There is not a single competitive bodybuilder who is maximizing their body-composition who does intermittent fasting or any kind of fasting protocol. These people also happen to be the people who hold onto the most amount of muscle mass while being as lean as possible.

This goes both for the enhanced and natural competitors, none of them do any fasting.
