I eat the boil in bag white rice that's probably crap for you but it goes well with pan cooked chicken fajitas and avocado. That's usually my OMAD meal. I'm a whale trying to get down to a normal weight.

in america at least by default the regular white rice has vitamins added back into it which BTFOs the brown rice even more. I always eat rice with beans so the lack of fiber in the rice is a non-issue.

I prefer sprouted green lentils or sprouted quinoa because its a psuedo grain and less likely to cause an inflammatory response. White rice can fairly often cause inflammation due to being a grass

Just soak the brown rice six parts water to 1 part rice overnight. It'll go from something like 108ppb to 23ppb or about a 75-80% reduction in the arsenic content. You just discard the water afterwards and then cook it as you normally would if you are really worried. All rice is prone to picking up arsenic because of floodied paddies used and arsenic is water soluble. Hell you wash all the rice you cook right? Because white rise is polished and cleaned up with talc and that could contain asbestos. Just fucking wash the rice like any other person would do before throwing it into the cooker and in the case of brown just soak it overnight. If it really bugs you then soak it overnight, cook it in that exact ratio and then strain out all the excess water. Bam. There you go.

It's a staple because it's easy to grow en masse and kept civilizations alive before the advents of modern technology. It is by no means good for you. In most cases, white rice was the ONLY fucking thing a person was eating. Now it's piled onto the side of a dish along with meats and veggies more out of tradition than any caloric need. White rice is fucking garbage calories.
Don't bother. No matter how much you explain people will never get that grains were there to fulfill calorie deficiencies in large populations in times of need. If a peasant got 20% of his daily calories from grains, then applied to a whole population, then growing grains became an essential part of maintaining and growing a population, even if an individual didn't consume THAT much of it.
