Not gonna lie, it did mess me up when I found out.
I mean of course I'm happy that I'm alive and live in America but the "what if" game still eats at me sometimes.
I was born during the Yugoslav civil war so all sorts of variables were up in the air but I think I came away from it in an ideal situation.

First born son, first attempt, died of leukemia a few days in.
I'm the second born son, third attempt.
First born daughter, fourth attempt died of cancer at the age of seven.
There were three more miscarriages.
Out of seven attempts, I am the only one that lived. I'm making it.

nah that's not true. youngest here. the older ones have an old mentality and are easily fooled by society and its illusions. the older ones always call mommy and ask for advice and cant into mother/fatherhood. they make shit parents.

meanwhile they were like beta testers in life for me. I learned not to make their mistakes (having kids young) and im a lot happier than they are.
