You guys need to understand the difference between acne in its various forms, and what is not acne, i.e. post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and post inflammatory erythema, the latter two are scarring not acne. If you have red or brown marks on your skin those aren't pimples, their inflammatory markings on the skin from where acne used to be. They take anywhere from a month to a year to heal but they do heal, however they do not heal if they are continually irritated, and it doesnt matter if they heal if you just get another breakout and recontribute to the inflammation. If you have these forms of scars, which many people do, you need sulfur soap, moisturizer, and gentle exfoliation. What you don't need is sun exposure without sunscreen or over-exfoliation, if you are putting 3 kinds of acids on your back every day congratulations you may never have another pimple but your inflammation may turn to permanent scarring. Furthermore accutane, which is shilled alot on this board, does nothing for scars. Accututane permantnly shrinks your pores largely preventing additional acne.
