If you were born in like 98 then you probably witnessed the last of the Gen Y shows and the beginning of the Zoomer shows

I recognize all of the shows on the left, but I never watched Space Ghost and Gundam. On the right I recognize 8 of them but never watched anything apart from Naruto and Ben 10.
That may be because I'm from south america, we always got these shows 1 or 2 years later so I was already uninterested in TV when most of them came out.

If you live in europe then these won't really apply. PPG aired in my country around 2002-2003 adnd DBZ aired around 2005-2006

Depends on where do you set the line. From the chart I'd choose Zoomers because american cartoons in general are trash with some exceptions that are pretty modern (Avatar, Gravity Falls, Over the garden wall).
In general, plenty of amazing anime came out between 2000-2010 and I would even say that in general it was better than the 90s even with Lain and Bebop with stuff like Kino, Haibane Renmei and Mushi-shi.
Naruto (first part) is in fact miles better than Dragon Ball Z.
