It's like any other entertainment medium; books, TV, movies, music, whatever. Some of it is absolute cringe trash, some of it is masterpiece, most of it exists somewhere in between.

Although I'm fan of all drawings and moving pictures - no matter if it is Hard boiled, Vagabond, gobelins shorts or Redline. Too bad that western animation is pretty much dead and even on its peak it is worse than average anime.

Only anime I have ever watched was MONSTER, and that has been the deepest thriller story I've ever experienced.
