I estimate calories in my head and track my weight to ensure I'm not gaining/losing too fast. I have a degree in nutrition as well as 6 years experimentation with my own diet, so I have a really good "mindfulness" of how much to eat, when I'm full, etc.
>Protein: at least 1g/lb bodyweight (I use powder often when I don't get to eat enough)
>Diet itself: choose "clean foods" over combination junk foods
>Be mindful of vitamins, don't give a fuck about minerals at all if you live in a developed country
>Don't drink alot of alcohol (no more than 3 drinks/sitting, several times a week, etc.)
>Don't snack, just eat like a fucking king in one or two big meals/day (this only works for some people)
>Eat the majority of calories later in the day (I get up at 9:00am, rarely over 500kcals until about 5:00pm, then I eat a moderate meal if I can get it at work followed by a large meal after work around 11:30pm

You don’t do enough pull ups. And not enough rows. Add inverted rows and face pulls to your routine and aim for at least 5 sets each, 3 times/week.

There's no difference after a month, there never will be after only a month. Keep putting in work and losing weight and in three to six months you won't look like you lift but you'll see progress. Just keep going

Figured out I was fucking up squats- been going atg and my ass would actually touch the mat. I believe I locked out or w/e it’s called. Started doing squats and going about an inch above ground, made the trip back up much easier.
