Working out has detracted from me being able to play my bass, but my car is detracting from the time I'm not working out

Guitar players shouldn’t lift. It just looks wrong.

Get better at guitar. Getting big shouldn't negatively affect your ability to play any instrument. If anything, the forearm gains should give you more chops and your general gains should be helping with posture.

>guys you used to think were huge

Google discontinued legacy captchas.

Before I started lifting I dreaded having to pick up my western guitar instead of the electric ones. Now with the extra forearm strength and endurance my chords sound so much better and bends are easier even on 11s or 12s.

How are you supposed to defeat capitalism if you dont have blue tits?

>11s or 12s.
Once you get used to 13s you will never switch back. I wish I could find a list of people who went thicker than 13s. I know Johnny Cash used 14s but he can't be the only one.

Baby steps. I used to use 9s on all my guitars.
On the electrics I still have 10-56 but I definitely will go heavier on those too.

Thicker string gauge doesn’t necessarily translate to better tone

Yngwie Malmsteen uses 8s, for example

>not going thick on 4,5,6 and ultra thin on 1,2,3
Endless shredding and bending opportunities

I don't see the point of going heavier than 11s on electric guitars. Its kind of fun to watch people not used to heavy strings not be able play your guitars.
I hate the feel of lighter gauges and always feel like i'm about to break a string whenever I bend notes. Personally I can play faster on 11s with a high action setup than anything else but that might be because I have huge hands.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Should also be noted he's like 50+ in this pic kek

What even is that hair
And that guitar

Petrucci makes gains and shreds 19th notes in 7/8, faggot

This is the kind of guy who probably has a Misfits shirt but only listens to soundcloud rappers.

Goal body.

You're not swole, you are fat. Cut.
