First I always, ALWAYS, make sure there is a bench that's at least over 2 feet off the ground. Then I start off with flat dumbbell press for 8*5. After I feel like I've got a good pump going on I go to the dip machine where I dunk my body. It's fun to pretend you're a fish stick ;). After the 4 or 5*F dippers, I head back to the lifting bench for some close grip presses. I think it's really important to vary the rep ranges, not only over different sessions, but over different exercises. Of course you should always do negatives with the heavier weight once you've put it up, so to speak. Once I'm done with those closed grip close grip bench presses I move on to the cable machine to finish off with a nice set of cable flies. At this point I really have a good pump going and can tell that people are admiring my beautiful physique.
Aside from that I try to change up the order of excercies after about two or maybe, only maybe if I'm feeling adventerous ;), three weeks.

All idiots in this thread do more bench than what is necessary, limit your moves and you limit your gains. The glory of an upper/lower split comes from better efficiency.
I like to throw in shoulders with chest - so my routine might look like

>dips 5xF
>upper pec cable flyes superset with drag curls 4x12

P.S. dumbell flyes are worthless, it's the same stretch as dumbell bench with more strain on your pec and bicep so you're more likely to tear it

If you keep your torso perpendicular to the floor, yes. Tilting yourself a bit activates your chest.
