After 8 years i quit coffee about 2 months ago and started taking caffein pills instead. Ultimately my goal is to stop taking that as well. I drank some coffee a few days ago and it didn't feel like anything. I craved it, but i can say after that i don't care for it.

In my cold turkey quit attempts, the headache comes on in the afternoon of day 1 and disappears after I sleep. It's the lethargy that hits hard on subsequent days. I think it's because on morning #1 I'm still slightly caffeinated.

Anyway I've given up on weaning because it's harder to say no to the second cup than the first. Almost eleven years this bean has owned me. So ready to defeat the bastard

Not really coffee related but since I started coming here and trying to make it, I've only needed 5 to 6 hours of sleep per night. Sometimes a little as 4. When before I started lifting and doing cardio I would sleep for 9-12 sometimes. I kind of assumed expending more energy would mean I'd need at least a solid 8 per night.

Why would I quit caffeine? I don't need it to get through the day as I am fine on days I skip, I feel no crash even when using tons, and my heartbeat is fine even while drinking energy drinks. I just get some nice energy and return to normal. So why purposely avoid it?

I've already beaten my addiction after a couple days, it's been like a week now. Social anxiety is still there but less, can wake up easier now.

I workout 3 days a week and take caffeine pills about every third workout and drink very little of it otherwise. This works welder not let me build up a tolerance but still be able to get a nice boost every few gym days
