I keep subscribing to a number of youtubers purely out of pity. There are channels where it’s clearly a person’s main focus in life yet they struggle to get a couple hundred views. Some of them I worry about their mental health and that they may hurt themselves (or others) if it falls apart completely. Some actually put out quality content but just don’t gain any traction because of the algorithm (while $5 vs $500 hotdog gets 50m views).
Anyhoo, who are your overlooked / disfavoured youtubers? Let’s get them some views/subs before they get too desperate.
Everything online is like that, I used to sell my all US material made goods on Etsy and only the rich hipsters got exposure, there’s clearly an unofficial way to get on the front page that’s not open to everyone

It really must be something like this. There’s a channel I sub to EPNdotTV started by a guy who had an over the air video game tv show for years in Canada. Slick as anything you’ve seen, tones of content, super charismatic entertaining host... and struggles to get a thousand views a video. There are ‘streamers’ and the like producing no OC who get 100x the views with 1% of the effort. I figure they just don’t know who to pay off to get the views to get the subs.

This is exactly how I heel about h3h3. They produce nothing of worth. Just mundane reaction shit. Nothing they say is impressive. Yet autists here and other places will spam them constantly. It makes no sense why they are famous outside some for of Jewish nepotism. Reinforces in my mind that most humans are weak and will find someone to be interesting only because they are told they are.

The guy Wingsofredemption made it huge on youtube by hopping on the call of duty train (which is actually what pretty much started youtube video game scene) before almost anyone else. He in no way deserved those views compared to people who came later and made better content.
