Shoulder gave out during dumbbell presses

This happened a few hours ago. I was doing dumbbell presses, and recently brought my weight up by 5lb on each arm. Was my last set, and I was really struggling partway through, but was still feeling good. Suddenly, my right shoulder just loses all strength, and I had to drop the weight. Was also extremely painful right afterwards.

I've been icing it for a few hours now, and while it still hurts, it's not unbearable. Some motions, especially with my arm extended in front of me, are more painful. Additionally, it 'pops' somewhat occasionally now when moving. Also, it's somewhat swollen. Is this anything to worry about, or should i just ice it and relax for a bit?

user please. Don't ever do that again.

I hope you weren't doing them like pic related. You don't want to falare your elbows out, you want them closer to your chest.
Flaring out your elbows will fuck you shoulders up.

See the doc

gee it's almost like having two chunks of metal floating over you independently has a greater chance of weird shit going wrong than just using one contiguous chunk of metal that is laterally stabilized by both of your arms

What happened to her thigh?

They weren't quite as flared out as the pic, probably closer a 45 degree angle.

Planning on it if it doesn't go away within a couple of weeks, was just wondering if it's something I should worry about immidiately

Moved into a new building, no bench pressing equipment in this gym, so I can only do dumbbell presses

>using dumbbells
Deserved it lmao, every time I’ve used dumbbells in the past for presses some weird shit happens in my shoulders

If it is something that you need to worry about immediately, only a doctor would be able to tell you. And the sooner you go the less possible damage you can do to it

>You don't want to falare your elbows out, you want them closer to your chest.
Wew. For a second I thought I was doing them wrong

she dropped the weight on it

>being a weak dyel faggot
Lmao

I had same experience as OP, but with left hamstring on dumbell RDLs. Could walk without pain so I iced it, skipped legs for weeks. First day back on legs feels good but a little too sore after. Next day is chest day, picking up 60 lb dumbells off of the ground, in RDL position, and bam. Officially entered snap city.

Debilitating pain, no sleep, 5 doctor's visits, x-ray, MRI, crutches for a month, maxxing out my high as fuck deductible. 1.5 months out now, still can't walk more than 5 minutes w/o sneaking in a quick lie down.

Would recommend seeing your doctor, getting referral to sports medicine specialist. And being a giant pussy about injuries.

how did fucking up your hammy affect your back tho? was it a nerve thing?

where did he mention his back? as i understand it he tore his hamstring

he said snap city, so i just assumed back. plus he said xray and mri. can they xray a muscle?

snap city is just a catch all for injuries, doesn't necessarily mean back

She forgot she put her phone in it

Update: Moving my arm in a wide circle causes my fingers to tingle. Probably hitting up the Dr on Monday.

F

I do dumbbell presses on the floor to avoid those kinds of injuries.

>no bench pressing equipment in this gym
Go to another gym

Go now faggot. You should’ve went as soon as you injured your shoulder.

>seeking reliable medical advice on an Albanian sholace trading website
