What are the best ways for whitening my teeth? Facebook keeps spamming me with some light-based whitening kit, but what is the better option? Tips? Ideas?

would love an answer on this. Spend my whole childhood half assing my oral health and spend last year brushing/flossing 2 times a day and i feel like it only helps immediately after cleaning, after 1 meal its just like when i didn't do shit.

I brush twice a day, used various toothpaste, used mouthwash. Nothing works. Dentist always tells me my teeth are okay. I don't even drink tea or coffee yet my teeth are shit.

I'm currently whitening with 16% carbamide peroxide. Bought a 3 week treatment and tailor-made teeth molds for about $200. 7 days in my teeth were noticeably whiter but afterwards I've seen little to no change.

According to the dentist I already have the whitest natural tone, but I still feel like it's not enough. Don't get fooled OP. Your teeth won't look like the ones in commercials unless you literally spray paint them.

also go see a dentist for a clean-up, chances you have treatable tartar/calculus and discoloration you're not aware of

for gods sake go get your tartar/calculus removed at a dentist before using whitening on your teeth, otherwise you're wasting money

if your teeth are effected by crest whitening strips you got bigger problem than just stains.

How often do you have to use it?

Once daily for a couple of weeks

Get your hand on anything that has hydrogen peroxide in it, preferably 44%. The light you sometimes get with supposedly quickens the process but is not essential. Don't eat or drink anything that can colour your teeth afterwards. And yes your teeth will probably get sensitive for a bit, but you're not pussies right?

oil pulling, swish 2 tsps of oil (I use coconut) for 20 min daily for two weeks, then do it once a week.

Go to amazon. Buy a 44% carbamide peroxide gel kit + tray. It'll be like 1/6th of the cost of seeing a dentist for whitening and just as effective.

Nothing will beat professional whitening from your dentist (bleaching trays)

You might burn your gums a little bit and your teeth will get sensitive, but that is temporary. Don't forget to avoid staining foods for 48 hours afterwards.

The natural colour of teeth is not white, its more greyish. Some methods polish your teeth and actually makes them weaker. It looks good but its not worth it.

You can buy dentist tools for like 10$ on amazon.
